I don't know Honey Boo Boo, which is why I checked the thread out, and I'm not much of a Toddlers watcher, but this doesn't sound interesting to me. I myself am pretty excited about two new dance shows premiering this summer, All the Right Moves on Oxygen and A Chance to Dance on Ovation.

I still want to assume Honey Boo Boo is a nickname, right?

Thank goodness yes Honey Boo Boo is a nickname. Her real name I think is Alana.

Don't know what the deal is with Jamie Olivers kids name...another "I can make my kids names more "special" and cr8tive than your kids names" type thing? Not sure.

ETA-OMG what a trainwreck and a half. After I posted I googled her to find out if I was right about the name and found this lovely summary of the family:

According to TLC, each episode follows Alana and her family: stay-at-home mom June, chalk-mining dad Sugar Bear, and sisters 12-year-old Lauryn "Pumpkin", 15-year-old Jessica "Chubbs", and 17-year-old pregnant Anna "Chickadee".

Please tell me Sugar Bear is a nickname for Dad?!?!? Then we have the pregnant teen sister to throw into the mix. Oh dear...

i saw those people on Toddlers & Tiaras (yes, i admit i watch that completely mindless train wreck). i cannot believe TLC gave them a show. i guess they don't mind being part of the joke since they're laughing all the way to the bank.

that was on Anderson Cooper. i think he dressed up the moms like the girls do in the pageants to see how they felt about it. of course, the moms loved it.

the episode i saw, i don't think Alana did well. it's been awhile. but those judges like their pageant queens skinny and she is not. she also drinks a mixture of Red Bull and Mt. Dew (or something like that) in order to get energy. i felt sorry for her; her mom, not so much.

Good golly no kidding..I only watched I think 1 episode before I stopped but that is just painful to watch

Mom's a hoarder..an organized one but a hoarder nonetheless. They live their lives surrounded by shelves (in their dining room it appears it is filled with shelves) filled with more crap then they will likely use in any reasonable period of time and Mom justifies the hoarding by saying it saves them money for pageants.

I am ashamed to say this but I think Honey Boo Boo is a funny little girl!!! I like the kid but her parent’s well that is another story.

I might watch; the little girl is a trip but don't really care for her mom. We shall see.
