The sad part about it is if you go to youtube, you can see where she lives in a college town and was in a college bar practicing for a pageant. DS22 was there and called me. He was appalled at the thought. I think that is worse than just a redneck. I know lots of rednecks but they don't act like that.

If you don't mind saving me from watching this on YouTube, what college town? I have a daughter in Athens, GA and I hope she wasn't in one of those bars.

i'm not sure what a "honey boo boo" is, but i won't be watching it. i can remember when TLC was The Learning Channel...they sure can't claim that anymore.

And for this type of show, I pay for cable.

I really should have my head examined for paying for cable with what seems like a million channels and little to nothing of any intelligence to watch.

Statesboro was the town. They actually just filmed some of the new show there not long ago too. Who knows... we may actually get to see her in the bar on her new show too. Well, someone will, but probably not me. Their voices get on my nerves.

This show will definitely need subtitles as the little girl is not very understandable....and she's 6, so going into 2nd grade? She should speak more clearly than that.

Yes, Alana is adorable but all that go - go juice in her still developing body/brain is not going to help her. Its not going to be cute in a few years. Her parents are teaching her horrible things.

TLC has definately turned into mindless tv. I may try to catch the first episode but dont forsee going much farther than that.
Feel bad for Alana having to grow up in this train wreck and dont get me started on that go-go juice.... scary to think that they is doing to her brain and internal organs.

This is one show I won't watch. I have plenty of guilty pleasures, including "Dance Moms" and "The Real Housewives", but there is something about these people that really puts me off. I do not think the little girl is cute at all and the mother - well, what can I say?

This one is not for me.
