Here comes 30 AND 7! May and October 16 PTR

I will be 30 in 27 days and in 27 days I will be in Disney world!!!
First off please excuse my writing and grammer errors! ok here we go!
I had this whole trip planned out. My birthday always falls on memorial day weekend. I was like yes. Finally star wars weekends and canceled. Then yes I can go to the 24 hour event they have held the past 3 years and No. Canceled
I am not having luck and worse. No one wants or can come with me except one person. Someone who i can always count on wanting to go to Disney. Someone who cried when he realized we were going to the airport on our last trip just a few weeks ago. One who has no money . My sweet handsome son. So nothing new or special. no friends were able to get off this week so its just us but just as it should be. My son and I in our absolute favorite place!

edit: I have decided to make this a double PTR for our October trip. Devyn will be turning 7. while his bday is in September we are celebrating in october. He is obsessed with the monorail and wants to stay at the contemporary so bad and I am so glad that will be coming through for him on this trip. We have annual passes so this will be our last trip using them. I will not be renewing our passes this year.

This was just a few weeks ago at Disney's after hours. we were lucky to visit for free because 149 each is too steep.



I am Shun and my DS is 6 and well I have no idea how many times I have been to Disney. My parents took my sister and I almost every year growing up. In 2007 i did the Disney college program. In 2009 I had my little one and a year later he took his 1st trip and we have been going back ever since. This will be my 6 year old's 14th trip. I work multiple jobs as a respiratory therapist for our Disney needs. We recently became DVC members with a home resort at saratoga springs. This is our 1st trip using points.

Dining reservations have changed constantly. When to where? Dining plan or not? lets just say I am one of the few that loves the dining plan. I just had so much trouble trying to figure out how much money I need for food? Then i get to a restaurant and change my mind or the prince has changed and I end u off. So yes dining plan. My second thing was since there was no star wars weekends and 24 hours in the kingdom, I really wanted something nice or different for my birthday dinner.

Here is the line up for May
California grill is my birthday dinner. Its new and different for us. The only time i could get was at 8:50pm. wishes is at 10 so looks like that will happen during our meal. This will be our only oop meal

Kona cafe
This is my favorite breakfast spot, it is DS favorite breakfast spot. He got Donald's choice kids meal which is an egg with cinnamon toast and the kid loved it so much he wanted it for dinner. We had to go back the next day. He says its the best bread ever.

Hollywood and vine
I admit we have never been here for dinner but we have had lunch here every trip for the past 3 years. We do not understand how it gets such bad reviews. We always have good food and characters.

Cape may cafe
Dinner here is also a favorite although we have not been back in a long time. like 3 years. I hope it is still good and who doesn't love crab legs! They still have all you can eat crab legs right?

Liberty tree tavern
We have dinner booked here. This will also be a new place for us. we needed a dinner in MK. We have already done BOG, CP, the plaza, and the other one doesn't interest us. we looked at the resorts. 1900 PF, chef mickeys have been tried or will be. Ohana is disgusting and we will never go back for dinner or at least for a while. It has been 4 years.


I have just decided to make this a double PTR for our October trip which is DS birthday trip and last trip with our annual passes. We are going all out with the deluxe dining plan and trying as many character meals as we can.

Last time it was summer and really hotter than usual and we did this later. This will be our 1st dinner so we will be hungry this time.

Going for breakfast this time and we have always had a postive experience here

Hollywood and vine
Going for Minnie's seasonal dinner. The season is halloween this time. I figured its probably the same food as in may but just halloween themed. Disney does Halloween and the holidays so well

Tusker house
Brand new for us. trying breakfast and we have heard positive reviews but I will not get my hopes up like OHANA. We heard such positive feedback it was so not good.

I have been wanting to try this for a while.

Remember i said never again for dinner. So we are trying breakfast.


CRT
My child and I had breakfast at the castle here for his 5th birthday and he has been asking to go back. I guess he enjoyed it. We are trying dinner here before Mnsshp. if they ever start selling tickets

Chef Mickey's
This is Devyns absolute favorite place to eat. So i had to have it. we really enjoy breakfast over dinner here.

IT is May!!!!!!! 24 days and 2 hours until my Birthday and we are back. Friday we got some magical mail!!


Love those magical express tags! I am so excited to be at the boardwalk for the 1st time!

So lets get the daily plans started!

May 26th after working a late second shift I will be getting my child up bright and early at for a 5:40 am flight from Atlanta. The airport is 30 minutes away. last time we left at 3 and apparently security sucks that early. we waited in line forever because only one section was open and almost missed our flight. So we will most likely leave at 2. I will have no sleep. Which kind of sucks because we land at 7 am and the villas are not so with rooms being ready so we will have to wait. I am still looking for a dress to carry on because I made a birthday shoot as soon as we get there at 9:30 at the boardwalk. I have never had any photos done besides some family photos a few years ago and it is something different. I hope it turns out alright with me being tired but it was the last day the photographer had left.

Its a mini 30 minute session and since I am NOT counting on our room being ready. I went ahead and made my birthday breakfast





at Kona cafe. I figured with an hour to get to our ADR, DS and I would take a cab. He loves Kona cafe. More than me. He got Donald's choice last time. Its an egg with cinnamon toast. He said it was the best thing ever and wanted to go back to eat it for Dinner!

Then we will ride his favorite ride, the monorail, over to no other than the




Using fastpasses to Meet talking mickey of course, peter pan, and seven dwarfs. Our last fastpass is at 3:30. Just in time for our to be ready and for us to take a nice nap! This is our 1st stay at the boardwalk.




Later that evening is my birthday dinner!

Really excited to try and have a nice dinner. My son and I are use to longhorn! lol I was only able to get a time at 8:50. Really hoped to get wishes at the end but looks like it may happen in the middle of our meal but that is alright. Then its back to the hotel for bed and a EMH morning the next day!
