We're here for a few days. Went to IOA today (Monday the 20th). small to moderate crowd, with FOTL, as always, making it a pleasant if warm experience.

Has the HRH got any where, where you can just buy a sandwich to take back to your room? Just got back from RPR and other than room service there was nothing on a night, barring chips and cookies from the shop.

Is the HRH crowded? Any luck with an upgrade? We'll be there Wednesday.

Enjoy.

re: sandwiches--my DS and his GF got to go sandwiches, I think from the beach club; i'll check.

As of yesterday 8/19 the hotel was at nearly 100% capacity. We had a major reservation screw-up and it took some string-pulling by a friend with some pull to get the connecting rooms which were supposed to be reserved. We ended up with garden view at the very end of the wing, and were assured we were lucky to get even those.

I don't know if inventory will be less by wednesday, but I wouldn't hold your breath for the upgrade. We got here around 6 and really wished we had arrived several hours earlier.

Thanks for that, sounds okay. RPR didn't have sandwiches on its Bula Grill menu, just hot food. It could do with a take away deli type place. Staying at Hard Rock next year so was wondering what it had.

Yeah I would be curious to know how the crowds are in general this time of year, school started back this week around here, so I'm guessing if thats the case there, things are much better on the crowds?

as of today, Tuesday, the hotel is still supposed to be at at least 90% capacity. Long line in Emack and Bolio this am, and the pool was crowded in the afternoon. For the 3rd day running we received no washcloths. finally got some yesterday after 3 phone calls....but still didn't receive any until the guy who was cleaning our rooms (at 6:30 at night called for some when it was evident we weren't going to let him leave until we received some.) In general, the hotel doesn't seem quite prepared to handle the capacity.

in the parks on the 20th and 21st, if you have FOTL from a hotel key, it's an easy walk on to any attraction. Lines were long in both IOA and US for the popular attractions, worsening throughout the day. Citiwalk is quite crowded after 8 pm in the evening, but the restaurants are pretty dead around 6:30. We saw Blue Man group tonight, and it looked like every seat was filled.

is the hotel packed each day?
