Cast: Me, DH, DD (7), and DS (5)

1/22 Arrive OKW, Epcot, B&C for dinner (with Q&C)
1/23 AK - Donald's Breakfast at 10:30, HDDR at 5:00
1/24 open
1/25 MK - no meal plans - probably use Q&C somewhere
1/26 9:30 DS&DD at Pirate Adventure; 5:50 dinner 1900 Park Fare
1/27 MGM - no meal plans (I'm thinking we'll hit Pizza Planet)
1/28 MK - here is the problem - I was planning on trying for CRT since I'd read that it was re-opening for breakfast this day - I called Disney Dining today to confirm dates and was told that CRT will not re-open for breakfast until 1/29 (too late for us).

Did CP breakfast at MK last year and liked it, but was hoping to try CRT - I've bought breakfast vouchers for 2 meals, so we have Donald's and I'm trying to decide on the 2nd. I was trying to spread our CMs out, so since we have Donalds and HDDR on the 23rd and dinner at 1900 Park Fare on the 26th, I'm thinking a breakfast on the 28th is the way to go since it is our last day (and I like getting an early PS and seeing MK empty) - so, does that leave us with CP again? Cape May sounds like it would be good, but then we miss out on getting into MK before park opening.

Any thoughts or suggestions for me?

For an in park breakfast with characters ... seems like you need to stick with CP. It's also hard to get your $$ worth at sit down breakfasts with the vouchers.

You may think about an early PS at Chef Mickeys ... but that still wouldn't put you in the park before opening.

I do remember that when they closed CP for renovations a while back they added a character breakfast at Tony's during that time. Maybe you will luck out and they will do something similar??

Good luck .. I'd book CP now .. untill you figure out what you want to do so that way you know you have something. Also, I bet with CRT being closed, CP will fill quicker.

We loved PSB and even my son got a huge kick out of all the princesses making a big to-do over him...are your vouchers good for this one? The Norway building is very much like a castle and the servers were extremely friendly and kind.

You can get into Epcot early...do the Maelstrom and Mexico fun boat ride then ride the monorail over to MK if you want to spend your time there...sometimes I find if you go to MK after lunch it's actually slower...the worst times are 10-12 and after 4...seems to slow during the middle of the day...and it's January..not many crowds anyhow! :)

Hey~I am going the same time as you!! Only a day later. And it looks like my DS and DD will be joining your DS and DD on the Pirate Adventure Cruise. We are celebrating both of their birthdays while we are at WDW(DS5 and DD8) I too was going to try to get PS's for CRT for the 28th so that stinks. But luckily I still have the 29th to try for! I guess that means the pressure is really on. We also really wanted to eat at 50's Primetime Cafe but that will be closed as well. But can't complain because we will still be at WDW!!! Guess we will just have to plan another trip for when these places are open!:)

Just a suggestion- if you really wanted to eat at the castle maybe you could try for an early lunch. Cinderella may or may not be there but you still get the castle effect. That's what I plan to do if I can't get CRT.

Have a Disney Day!::MickeyMo

how 'bout ohana at the poly? we had breakfast there on one of our mk days and it was awesome... excellent character interaction... and right on the monorail, so minimal travel time... if you get the one of the earliest ps, you'll still get into mk at "empty-ish" time... another thought would be to go to mk first thing, and then grab the monorail for a late ps at ohana or chef mickey just before it switches over to lunchtime :)

ENJOY!

I was going to suggest Chef Mickey or Ohana's too. Get either real early or late.

Since you're already doing Donald's, I'd do 1900 Park Fare or Crystal Palace for a little variety of characters. Ohana and Chef Mickey's are options too, but you'll already have seen Mickey and the gang. I know you're going to 1900 Park Fare for dinner, but I'd do that breakfast as well. The characters are great and the food is good. It's my favorite character breakfast (though I may change my mind after my next trip since I finally got PSB and CRT).

I think that Chef Mickeys starts breakfast at 7 am, so you could eat there and still be pretty early to get into MK. We are also going to try 1900 Park Faire for breakfast this time. The breakfast characters are currently Mary Poppins and friends, so the characters would be different than the dinner.

Also, I have heard nothing but great things about CP, and that would put you into the park early.

I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the choices.
