1) What does Limited mean? I have been noticing that Disney seams to produce a lot more than they state when it comes to pins and I was wondering what they mean by Limited Edition... I looked at a few of there auctions and saw some huge prices paid for some LE 100 pins only to see the same pin called a different color come out a few weeks later... I feel that any pin 1500 or less should be numbered... They do it with other Disneyana What do you think?

2) How did you feel the process for the event registration went? I think Disney should look in to a secure web page and make it a lot easier than running around looking for a fax machine. What do you think?

3) If they tell you it is LE to 1000 should they sell all 1000? If they are going to hold back a few should they say that? Like it's LE to 1000 but we are going to release 850 or 900 and hold off on the others in case we need to replace a few. Or are you okay with making 100 more and calling it 1000 when in fact it's 1100 or more? This goes beyond pins... I just noticed that another website has 2 of the Sept pin event packages up for a drawing... I know that they said these reservations were not transferable so I can only guess this was done with the permission of Disney... It got me thinking... How many of the 1000 packages where sold. I feel that if they say 1000 then it should be 1000. If they are going to hold back 10% then they should say that... How would you like to have been the 999th and 1000th person yesterday and told... Sorry it is sold out and then see it that a website was given extras so they could "Second Chance" them... I don't think that is fair at all. What do you thinK?

4) Do you think Disney treats Pins as a collectable? I see they market some items as such but do think they treat it like that? Or is it only the Limited ones that should be?

Nat, great questions!

1. This one has me stumped and not only with pins. I collect WDCC pieces and have wondered is there any way to know exactly how many were sold and how many destroyed. Would people go (more) crazy if the pins were numbered? I wonder. It is very important for some to have #1 of everything. And does a low number make it more valuable? Probably to some, not to me.

2. I didn't think registration was that bad. I went into work early and periodically went back to the fax machine to see if it went through. Would there still be a problem with a web page? I know there have been websites I've tried to access with a million other people and all I got was a message to check back later. Something about bandwith (and Brian I know you have tried to explain bandwith to me and eventually it will sink in).

3. It would be nice to know that if they are holding back 10 pins from a LE and it would be nice to know how many AP there are of the pin. I'm hoping this will eventually be part of their website. I don't think they should release a LE then change it a bit and make it a rack pin. Too confusing especially to new people. And I wish all cast pins had cast exclusive on the back. It might stop people from selling them as cast exclusive when they are not.

I agree about the packages. If they are selling less than 1,000 places, it should be noted on the general announcement page. I don't have a problem with the Second Chance drawing. I only hope the tickets go to two people who did not get reservations. I think they just added two "Unknowns" to their reservation form. I had four people on my form. Someone else might have had the same number on theirs, but only two or three got in because their fax or email got there after me.

4. I think Disney treats pins as collectibles when it is convenient for them. I have heard rumors where pins had to be returned within 30 days of purchase (as a collectible does). Is this true? I've got some pins I would like to return to a local DS but was told by someone that since I bought them over two months ago I couldn't. Anyone know for sure? It may depend on the DS. I was at a "friendly" DS near me and was told to make it a "guest issue."
