I had a similar opinion in Nov when travelling with larger family and grandchildren. This Jan, however, with just the 2 of us, I found that the lack of park hopping due to all FP+ in one park and ADR's at the same park felt restrictive. We felt that we were on a schedule all the time. Finally, we cancelled all the rest of our ADR's and just went where we wanted. It was an amazing feeling of freedom, but we missed being able to get an occasional FP-.

I guess that FP+ works in some scenarios and not others.

I personally wish that some flexibility were available, especially re park hopping.

Also, we tried to change FP 's on a couple of occasions and there was almost nothing that they could be changed to that we wanted! We used what was booked in advance or went without. I also didn't like that I had to book 3 FP's. In some places, namely Epcot and DHS we only wanted one but had to book 3.

There are certainly some positives, as the OP said, but it is a mixed bag with some negatives as well.

After 2 very different visits, I prefer the old system overall. Hopefully, this will get some tweaking before Disney is done. It has the potential to be better than it is at the moment. In the end I am hopeful for FP+ to be even better than FP-. Time will tell.

My family and I aren't park hoppers so probably helped towards us enjoying FP+

We have loved it too! We have booked for afternoons and done what we can in the mornings.
Yesterday we were at Universal and then went to HS at 3:00 for our FP rides before heading back to the hotel! I love it.
Today we are going to AK and hopping to MK after lunch....it suits our trip style perfectly

I am collecting touring profiles. So in your case it is all positive? If you could help with some of thes questions that would be great thank you.

Did you book your FP in advance?
I will check on crowd levels but was yesterday big crowd day or low?
Will you still be there this week when crowds get bigger?
Liked adjusting times in the park (carrying a smart phone?) or use kiosk?

This is a useful profile. If people understood that there are lots of touring styles, maybe they wouldn't look at FP + as a good or bad but see how it fits with vacation preference. Obviously this works for a large number of people. There have been a steady stream of glowing reports from on site guests.

I haven't read any reports from offsite guests yet who love it. But maybe we we will see some pop up.

glad you had a good trip! We feel the same way except we RD at one park and then hop to a second park with our three FPPs- best of both worlds

I wonder if I'll ever get used to waiting in lines for everything other than those 3 FP rides. I admit that I like the idea of prebooking 3 rides ahead of time, and the advantages that can go with that. I just can't see that waiting in lines for everything else is worth the trade-off. I think I prefer the flexibility and "unlimitedness" of the FP- than the restrictiveness but convenience of FP+.

Still hoping that we will have our cake (FP+ convenience) and eat it too (get useful numbers of FPs, for tier 1 rides, in multiple parks).

I'm looking forward to the day that I will love it too

Likes hopping to an evening park and having three FP waiting Didn't really hop a lot- really enjoyed knowing we had our "must dos" ready to go - viewed everything else as a bonus
Enjoys having a planned schedule We like planning
Did you book your FP in advance? Yes - booked the night before, except for ETWB which I had a week in advance and didn't risk giving up
I will check on crowd levels but was yesterday big crowd day or low? Most of our days were 3-5 according to josh's crowd levels
Will you still be there this week when crowds get bigger?
Liked adjusting times in the park (carrying a smart phone?) or use kiosk? Only used smart phone - kiosk lines were NUTS until late afternoon - did pop into one to check something when my app went crazy (which happeend now and again - always took a screen shot in the morning so we knew the times in case wifi or app wouldn't work) We adjusted times with very little problems unless it was something big like toy story or ETWB

We are a family of 4 2a &2c 9 3
We stayed at Pop for 8 nights 3 days at Magic, 2 HE, 2 AK and 1 Epcot
We plan our days out and had pour FP+ booked before we traveled
Rope dropped every morning except Sunday 2nd Feb (needed a lie in)
Followed some recommended days from Easy WDW
Crowds where not crazy but I felt it was busy enough
Usually 30 mins for Everest
50 mins for Peter Pan
50 mins for BTRR
60 70 mins for TSM
Finished with Magic 2/9 very busy but FP+ Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise and Buzz which had 55, 40 and 45 min wait respectively
Had a smart phone and was able to adjust at the park using WiFi.
