Ok so i've dealt with these nasty buggers for a few years now....stomach issues caused them. :headache:

So......lets talk about them!

How do you cope? How do you treat them? How long before they go away?

Mine are usually internal, and non painful/itchy. I use Prep H and they go away in a few days. I'm currently having my first external one and OMG!!!!! I finally understand why people complain about the itching.......and I'm about to go take my first Sitz bath........I just hope I don't end up needing surgery someday for this.................:sad2:

Yes yes.......laugh if you want......

 I feel for you! I just started getting them.. THanks to being pregnant with twins. I was like... WTH?? What is happening to me??? :lmao: I was about to have my husband rush me to the hospital.. but then I figured out what it was. :sad2: Im a dink. :lmao:

They can definitely be alarming the first few times.......:lmao: I've just never had ones that were uncomfortable before......not like this anyway. And i'm really paranoid about them because my mother had hemorroid surgery and it was the most embarrassing/excruciating thing she's ever done.......yes even over childbirth!! The idea of having that surgery scares the jeeperz outa me! :scared:

Congrats on your twins though! :cheer2: At least somthing good will come from yours!:thumbsup2

BABY WIPES!!!!.....with ALOE.....followed by Prep-h GEL:mad:

I won't laugh

But they are a real pain in the butt.

I had them after DD, pushing for four hours straight will do that :headache:
My saviors were - Tucks used at all times and Sitz baths, they feel great. I was told not to sit for long periods and no pushing . I ending up taking stool softeners. So far so good for me right now.

My MIL had the surgery and said she doesn't have an issue any more. Although she did hate the surgery. :scared:

When I had the stomach virus from hell. I had hemorroids so bad that I crying when I went to the bath because it hurt so bad. I remember it hurt so bad it took a month to recover and the doctor giving something for the pain. I never want them again.

How I manged to escape getting these with 4 kids I'll never know but in the hospital after birth they give you witch hazel pads and dermoplast to help with the pain.. have you tried either of those?

I just did my first sitz bath.....and yes it felt good!:thumbsup2

Baby wipes with Aloe could be good.....haven't tried anything yet besides Prep H and the just taken sitz bath:worship: [Im hoping these will work wonders!]

Im doing my best to "pat" and not wipe of rub.......actually it's easier then I first anticipated because anything beyond patting hurts!

My coworker recommended Meta-mucil fiber powder......Ive used the pill form before but didn't see any results........I just need to work on the no pushing part LOL:lmao:

and YES!!!! these are a real pain in the butt!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

There are "treated" Prep H wipes available - buy them and use them in addition to what you are doing. They come in a large pack. They also sell individually wrapped wipes that you can carry with you in your purse. Expensive but really effective. Helps a lot.

How could I forget Dermaplast! :scared1:

Yes - that stuff is THE BEST! :lovestruc

OP-wipe/pat with Tucks. Get the big one from Costco so you're never out.
Glad that bath worked for ya. :thumbsup2 Really, try a stool softner and do everything you can to not push.

BTW-I wonder how many people are purposely avoiding this thread. :rolleyes1

Well- good luck! :goodvibes It'll all work out in the end. :rotfl:

I am thinking that when you post a thread such as this, there has got to be a great tag that comes out of it.

Did I say tag?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I highly recommend prunes. Lots of prunes. And water... lots of water.
Soft is good. :teeth:

THE PAIN!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Oooohhh!!!! Some things are better left unsaid...even though it would be so much fun!!!hehehehe **talking to one's self**(be nice, be nice, be nice......)

haha .... I had NO idea what hemorroids were until I got a colonoscopy a year ago and .... I couldn't go to the bathroom afterword for like a week + ! I guess because of all the meds they give you for the colonoscopy (not that the doc warned me or anything! )

Anyway, long story short, I was in so much pain and bleeding all over the place and had NO IDEA what the heck was going on, so I went to the ER! :rotfl: And oh yeah, I was also in the middle of a trip to Disney at the time -- did I mention that? So yeah, I went to celebration hospital ER in the middle of the night via taxi for hemorroids and constipation! :scared1:

Boy, was that embarassing! :headache: Hee hee....

Unfortunately I am an expert on the subject:sad2: Had been dealing with them for 25 years. Used every over the counter medicine there was. There are also suppositories that work really good. Been to the doctor numerous times over the years(yes very embarrasing). Finally this past March couldn't handle it anymore and had the surgery :scared1: ANd while I am better off after having the surgery, I would never do it again

Hmmmm didn't think about the tag fairy when I posted this.....hopefully he'll play nice and realize this is embarrassing.....and painful enough!;)

I went today and purchased stool softener, Prep H wipes, and cooling gel [that stuff burns a bit though].........Im drinking a TON of water and I'm eating prunes.........god I hope this works.......I'm so scared of the whole surgery/lancing idea. Prayers appreciated!:goodvibes
