My girlfriend and I are taking my mom and her mom to Disneyland in the fall. It's been a really tough year for them both, and my mom has never done super well financially, so this is our way of bringing some happiness back to them!
They've accepted the trip with no issues, and they're planning to help with meals, (even though we've told them it's not an issue). If you're comfortable paying for tickets and it doesn't set you back financially, I think it's a great gesture to take care of it. But you know your mom better than us, and if she's prideful it might be better to give her the opportunity to pay for her ticket.
