It's a very sad thing to find yourself in Port Canaveral with a car, some extra time and to drive by the shop to see Shirley ..... and it's CLOSED!

But it's even sadder to have it happen twice!

ONE THE DAYS....I'll get to Shirley!

Sweetie I am so sorreeeeeeeeeeeee - we close at 5 weekdays and 12 or 1 on Saturday - anytime just call me and I will run back to the shop anytime - I will put the coffee on, have some snacks and drinks and we can sit back on the patio and chat - can even be entertained by my wild animals like the squirrels that are so fat, they lucky they can run

Each time I see/read something that I feel our vistors would enjoy, I will post it - this event I feel is history that the family will remember for years to come - I know my children who are all grown up now still remember when I use to take them to KSC almost every week for they always found something new - they each have keepsakes from years past that they will past down to their own family - Anyhow it is always my sincere pleasure to help our visitors feel very special

Hello - wanted to share something that I feel you may find interesting and helpful

Cocoa Beach Taxi has an offer that is exceptionally great for the have the "PAY WHAT YOU WANT EVERYDAY" - every day the customer decides the fare anywhere between Cocoa Beach, Port Canaveral and Merritt Island - they have a maximum of 2 stops only.

Being that Norm and I paid close to $20.00 from the port to the shop (less than 3 miles) this is a great option - keep the fare reasonable, but the choice is yours
Cocoa Beach Taxi can be reached at 321-783-1299 and just tell them I told on them ok?

Thanks to the wonderful info Shirley (and others) have posted here. On our recent cruise, we had dinner at Zachary's the night before we cruised and then took a quick stop at Manatee Park! Couldn't believe it was so close and we didn't even realize it before.

How did you like Zachary's? We are staying at the Marriott Residence Inn and I'm betting we won't be able to get the kids out of the pool to go out for any dinner that would take up very much time. We can walk right over there I belive. (If we had a car I'd just haul in some fried chicken from Publix! )

A Florida friend who is cruising with us has decided to come up and spend the night before at Port Canaveral with us, so we now have a car and driver at our disposal. Latest conversation with the family is leaning heavily in favor of Zachary's right now (and why don't they have a web site???).
