Hello :wave2:

I am starting to put together little folders to send out to all of our wedding guests a couple of months before departure, just so they are a bit ahead of the masses when they get to WDW. So far these are the things I'm thinking of putting in them.

- FastPass information (already been asked how much it costs to skip the lines)
- Garden Grocer info
- Maps of their resorts if staying on site
- A very few bullet points on touring tips for each pass. (e.g. get there at rope drop for soarin/TSM)
- Clarification on how Magical Express works and info about arriving at MCO and finding the buses.
-Info about Disney transportation.

Good idea! How about ADR info (trust me to think about stomach's . . . )or are you making some for them?

Oooh - great idea - thanks Sonya. We'll only be making one for them, and then the wedding food of course. :)

What about some recommended viewing spot for fireworks and a bit of info about Fantasmic with or with the F! Package.

You could also mention the importance of being your chosen area of the park if you are skipping out a parade, before parade times. Although I know that I clearly recall not paying attention to the time and getting stuck in Tomorrowland with no way to get through to Frontierland where we wanted to be, because everyone had jammed the place waiting to watch (add the ropes to the equation).

It may be too much info - I know you don't want to write a guide book when you have a wedding to plan.

Oh, and can I also mention, I think what you are doing for your guests is wonderful! :thumbsup2

:) Thank you! They are great points too.

I actually already made and sent them a guide book! :rotfl:

But that was more just a "WDW is AWESOME!!!!" rather than a "things you need to know" affair.

WOW the guides look really good Torsie!! Sorry just being nosey LOL

Before they go, immigration and ESTA information, plus baggage limits, liquid limits etc.

obviously everyone has their own opinions about different rides but maybe something about attractions to avoid if they are short on time and stuff not to miss out on.

If i was telling my guests about epcot i would make them do soarin and testrack but tell them to avoid the president thing in america and ellen's energy talk!

Maybe you could give a few info website addresses like allears.net for example, and then put headings as examples of some of the info they may be interested in looking up as different things will be appropriate to each person/party. It not only saves you having to do it all yourself but it avoids the possibility of a daunting volume of information for them to sift through.

Hey Torsie, those guides look excellent!:thumbsup2 I wouldn't mind one myself.:rolleyes1

if this is an idiots guide to wdw...
the importance of getting to r/d
the importance of wearing sensible shoes (read crocs:rotfl2:)
take the break!! rest/pool then come back
hire a car vs onsite transport if they are staying on site
sunblock!!!
keep hydrated- keep on drinking that water!!
FP/DUMBO DASH;)
i ll think of some more:confused3:confused3

Oh YES!!!!! The shoes and the break - how could I have forgotten?! It's hard to put yourself in a newbie's shoes  when you've done this before, but wrong shoes and no break is a sure way to render yourself out of action for a few days!

How about a few things non disney - like shopping malls for the ladies :rolleyes1 - or a few places to eat offsite like Bahama Breeze & Cheesecake Factory.

If all about WDW - how about a few different things you can do like hire a boat - go to Fort Wilderness for a horse ride - tour the hotels on the monorail - or go to the Boardwalk and see the entertainment or rent a Surrey bike :)

ps - the guides look great :thumbsup2

Wow your guides are amazing...where did you get that clip art on the front cover in the corners.

I am sure someone off here sent me some information and it was like things to look out for like hidden mickeys and that.
EMH times
Times of events during the day
or a tips and hints type page

Good idea. Maybe try and explain the size of WDW - I read somewhere WDW is the size of Greater Manchester - when I say that to people they are shocked. You can't see it all..here's some info to help you decide..sort of thing.

Maybe recommend your favourite guide books.

Also stress the non ride side of things - shows, parades etc, something for everyone.
