Has anyone had good experiences with ERs near Disney?
Or with cancelling the 2nd half of a trip and getting some of the money refunded or being able to save unused ticket days?

I herniated a disc in my back the week before coming here but was treating it with steroids & anti-inflammatories and it was getting better. Now either from sitting in the scooter all day or a few bumps on rides that I thought would be ok, is much worse. I hurt so bad I started crying and breakfast and then spent the day in bed as I cpllapsed everytime I stood up. My mom is leaving tomorrow & I don't think I can be here alone with my daughter without doing something to fix this...

Have you asked Disney if they will preserve the days on your tickets? Did you purchase travel insurance for your trip? Have you explored other options, like the cost of extending your mother's return home or the cost of you and your daughter returning home sooner? If I had to make a choice between the cost of remaining days on a multiday ticket or exacerbating a back injury, it would be an easy choice.

I have travel insurance on the flight. We haven't talked to Disney yet as I've been so determined to stay but now am starting to realize I don't think I can.... im trying to decide how to handle it in the morning. Im wondering if going to the ER would be smart... we've been planning this trip for 5 years (I had a bad car accident with head injury & issues with my daughter's adoption stalled things) but I collapsed & fell to the ground when trying to walk from the bathroom to the bed.

celebration has a good hospital ( been there before) I would talk to some one at Disney and explain your situation. I have had my share of problems and Disney has always come thought for me,

and by the way if you do not have a car and you are on Disney property they will get you to the hospital and back to your hotel.

also I wound not wait if your are in this much pain call the front desk and ask for some help

Regarding any potential refund, the best you can do is explain the situation at the front desk -- don't use the phone button to call as that just goes to a call center "somewhere" (not on property). Maybe your mom can go down to talk about options for you if you are unable to do so. They technically do not have to refund tickets, or even a package, though I have heard of people getting a refund on the hotel if they check out earlier than planned. Remember tickets are front-loaded, meaning the most expensive days are the first 1-3 and after 5 days is only about $10 per day on a multi-day ticket. You don't mention how many days you've been there already and how many days are left on the tickets, but it may not be as much "lost" as you think.

As for the ER, you'll have to make that decision. What would you expect the ER to do for you? If you can't stand to walk to the bathroom, would you even be able to travel home tomorrow? If your mom has to leave, could your daughter go with her while you spend another day or two resting in bed? Alone with back pain and in a hotel room at WDW doesn't sound pleasant, but it may be more comfortable than trying to fly home right now, and you wouldn't have to worry about your daughter if she goes with grandma.

So sorry this has happened. Best of luck and I hope you find some relief soon!

I feel your pain I had one and needed three surgery to fix if your near NYC I have a name of a great dr.

If the trip is more then five days then you won't lose your deposit if you cancel the whole trip for the hotel. Disney pretty good with moving dates so I would call and discuss your options maybe they can move the days you thinking of canceling to another time or the whole trip. I done this many times again not sure about tickets or anything else I just know for hotel their pretty good. Just know you have until five days until the start to cancel and not be charged the one night.

I became rather familiar with the ER at Celebration hospital last month when my younger son got sick with pneumonia. It's a good ER and I feel like they treated him appropriately. It sure isn't cheap but if you have good insurance hopefully that isn't a concern for you. It's probably $4000+ just to walk in the door. You've probably already been somewhere to have your back seen but I thought I'd mention our experience. We took an Uber over there - it was close. Best of luck to you...I hope you have worked it out.
