Well our wonderful news is that the new company who have taken over the ferry route to Shetland are having T & C issues with their new employees and a strike is looking very likely

. It is now our only way off the island as the flights are all booked up ............does any body know if there are any travel insurance policies that will cover you for industrial action
? If we can't leave the island not only will we miss our flights to DLRP, we will also miss our son's graduation
. I would like to think that it might be resolved within the next few weeks........but neither side seems to be willing to move, and I can understand why they want to strike as they are losing some of their pensions under the new contractor Serco

Any suggestions very gratefully received
