Ok, so I just checked the online site, that used to say I was a character performer, but now it doesn't say what job I have. Was I supposed to accept the role or something (I never got a letter or an e-mail). What does this mean?

I don't know how to delete a thread, but I'm pretty sure if your role has disappeared off of the site, then it means you're been assigned to a location. I'm not sure how it works with character performer in terms of a location. Mine and a lot of other people's disappeared today, too, so don't worry!

Oh you have no idea how much relief that brings me, thank you!

Somebody called and Recruiting said it was a glitch in the system and not to worry. Everyone was panicking on the facebook page too, so you're definitely not alone.

email wdw.college.techsupport@disney.com and ask for a definitive answer.

if someone really used the term "glitch", you can be assured they don't know what they are talking about. if they had a true answer, they would state exactly what was happening (issue with the database, information changes, etc.), they would not say "glitch in the system".

what she said is right I believe, whoever used the term "glitch" probably shouldn't have.

Maybe that's their way of explaining what they know to someone who might not understand computer terminology.

that's definitely one way to think about it.

Although I would argue that since they pretty emphatic about not calling about technical issues it is fairly reasonable to assume that those that are in that office aren't really the best group to go to about such issues.

Scroll to the bottom and see what is bold and in red here for an example https://www.wdwcollegeprogram.com/sap/its/mimes/zh_wdwcp/students/faqs/faq_login.html

Pretty straightforward, I think.

then on this page they say who to contact for what

From personal experience, you can call a dozen times and get 12 different answers on any given topic. If they really don't relay consistent info about stuff they should know, I wouldn't have much faith in the accuracy of info on stuff that's stated that they don't know.
