I agree with PP, it is an experience that everyone should do once. We went on one of our trips when we had 4 generations with us, so it was an experience that everyone enjoyed from ages 3 to 80! I'd go there again with a large group or one of mixed ages.
This is not the best food at WDW, but it also is not repulsive. If you go expecting signature-like gourmet food, you will be disappointed. If you go expecting a decent family style type meal, then you will be so distracted by the show you will forget that it's just good ole fried chicken and sides! If you really don't want fried chicken, you can order a vegetarian meal, if I remember right it is some sort of pasta dish.
