My sister and brother in law are taking their son, daughter in law and 4 year old son to Disney on Jan 21. They booked the trip through a travel agent. I'm also going and staying at the same resort. To date, they do not have their luggage tags or Magic Express confirmation. Also, the agent made dining reservations.

Am I wrong to be concerned that they don't have the luggage tags, Magic Express info and written confirmation of dining reservations? This will be my fifth trip to Disney since Nov., 2006 and I've always made my own plans with the group I'm travelling with. I already have my luggage tags, etc.

My sister doesn't seem to be concerned.

Should I call the travel agent myself? My sister seems reluctant to do so.

The tags would, most likely, be sent to the travel agent who would then have to send them to your sister so they do have some time. It isn't a big deal if they don't arrive, you can still use the ME and the luggage service. On my last trip, I booked it so late there was no time to send me the tags or vouchers. ME still got my luggage and I was still able to ride it. I just had to stop at the DME counter and gave them the info on my bag and they printed the voucher for me.

Can't answer about the dining reservations.

Ok, thank you!

Since it isn't your trip, I can't imagine that the TA would give you any information.

You will able to get a copy of the dining reservations when you check in.

I am going to assume that you asked for that? I have never gotten a copy of my dining ADRs upon checkin. I usually have my own sheet with times/dates/confirmation numbers on it, so have never needed one at checkin.

To the OP...if your sister doesn't get her info packet in the next week or so, she can call and make sure that it was added to her reservation. She should call DME directly though....just to see if they do have her in their system. If she doesn't get the packet, no big deal. She can give her claim receipts to the DME folks at the counter when she gets there..they will send someone to get the bags to the resort. But, she may not be concerned. It's her headache, not yours. Let her worry about it...while you just amble on up to the bus, and get your bags later on that day.

The TA is a family friend. I booked my trip separately. (we live in different cities). I've got my stuff together. I know what to do to make my trip as effortless as possible. :laundy:

I would suggest your sister contact the TA asap. If it is a family friend and they would discuss the trip with you, give the TA a call. You are 2.5 weeks from the trip. The documents and luggage tags can still be sent if the reservation was not made or the package was lost.
