I dropped my iTouch in the pool and now it won't work AT ALL!!!! Has this happened to anyone before and if it has what have you done to try and fix it? I have tried to let it dry out and every time i plug it in nothing happens. It is just dead. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

If you let it dry out for a significant amount of time (days) and it still will not turn on then it is just dead. Especially with iPod touch, which can't be opened up to try and tinker with the insides. Electronics do not like water.

I dropped my IPhone is the pool at OKW last time we were there. I put it in a large bag of rice (thanks to Olivia's rest.) and after 36 hours, it worked again (except the camera).

Thanks, I have heard of the rice trick and i am probably going to try it. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

when I did that to me cell, the repair guy told me to wrap it in a heating pad on low for 24 hrs. It worked perfectly! :thumbsup2

how long do i leave it in the rice? I have just put it in a bag o rice a few hours ago. About how long do i wait before trying it?

Our experience, although with just a regular cell phone. Son swam a lap in the pool with it in his pocket. We didn't touch it for 2 weeks, let it completely dry out, works now, even the camera.

I think the above tricks only work if you haven't tried to turn it on...apparently turning it on can render all other solutions useless as it fries the electronics.

However with the rice it needs to be for at least 24-48 hours.
