I just booked a dinner at the CG for an 8.50 dinner. From reading on here is that oing to be too late to see the fireworks, the Dining person I spoke to this am seemed to think that was a great time??Now I am wondering if I should try to get in earlier?it is a special dinner for hubby and I to celebrate my B Day.

We are going Saturday December 13th,I looked up the fireworks schedule which said they were at 9.00 that night.

If you just want to be up at CG and on observation deck at 9:00 with an 8:50 ADR you should be okay. If you are expecting to actually be seated at a table within 10 minutes of your ADR, that's not likely. People who are already seated are probably not going to get up and leave 15 minutes before fireworks. The closer to fireworks it gets, the further behind the ADR seating becomes.

Our last visit to CG in Jan, we waited 50 min past our ADR time for a table.

Hmmmmm maybe i will see if they have an earlier time then.
Thankyou so much.

That's going to be a tricky time. I would suggest getting there at 8:15 and checking in early. More than likely they will seat you early. The tricky part - is that the check-in booth is on the second floor. In my expierience, they did not take us upstairs until our table was ready.

If they let you go up to the observation deck with your pager -then that would be your best bet, but I do not know if they will.

I would just get checked in very early.

Ok well I got a 7.50 reservation,I do not know if that is any better but the lady seemed to think it was better than the 8.50,so fingers crossed.

I would have no problem spending over an hour at CG...it's an upscale restaurant, so they shouldn't be hurrying you along. I would think that would be a great time to go.

Thanks I feel so dumb with it being our first trip and trying to get everything planned.Thankgoodness for all the wonderful people on here to help us newbies out.the only other issue I am having is getting people on the phone to understand the New Zealand accent!lol
