Dillon and I do the roadtrip from NY to WDW every summer, the kennels at WDW are the best in our opinion (I have been dealing with them since the 80's with other dogs in our family) but I got off subject here. We always stay at Extended Stay Deluxe Suites.....they allow a dog any size & charge $75.00 fee for the dog no matter how long the stay. The place is immaculate & doesn't smell doggie as they have professional cleaners do each suite after a dog leaves. We will be staying at the one on Palm Pkwy Lake Buena Vista this summer...as far as any others we always stay at Motel 6 1/2 way through the trip down....I don't know what rate is for Extended Stay when you are going, but since I/we are staying for 25 days this summer :cool1: we got a $80. night rate Ruthie

In the other forum here's a link to a thread / post called "Pet Friendly Info". Many hotels in the area and options to choose from, there are also VRBO type homes / villas / condos that will accept pets as well, your choices are more limited than without pets of course but still very doable!

la Quinta
www.lq.com

and choice hotels - now not all choice hotels do allow pets - so make sure you put pet in your request for hotels.

you got the link from Mickrzy. and always call the hotel - just because their website says that take pets - call them to be sure.

the universal hotels accepts pets

or

now even some marriott will accept pets - they cut down - looks like this is the only one
http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/MCORL - at disney that allows pets

here is a list from best western
http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/selectHotel.do;jsessionid=B0799155C1841E0F84B8072DAE5D2C04

they are even saying that the best western in DD accepts pets - I would definitely call about that one.

the top of florida - do you mean Lake city or Tallahassee?

I know Tallahassee has a Lq and bw plus probably a choice.

Yes spiceycat in Lake city. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in Lake city there is a Best Western, Days inn I-10 (so this is not on I75 side), Driftwood Inn, Econo Lodge South, Jameson Inn, Rodeway Inn, Scottish Inn that accepts pets.

here is a website
http://www.springs-r-us.com/stay.htm

we have stayed at the Best Western, Holiday inn (who no longer accepts pet)
Econo Lodge South, and last trip Scottish Inn.

the Scottish Inn was pretty good - you got a free breakfast and much, much cheaper than the alternatives then. Okay the room was not up to Disney standard in cleaniness - but it was okay.

here are some pictures

none of these resorts are new - this area is as old as Disney.

You might want to try Jameson Inns. We have found them to be very nice and have no pet surcharge.
