Well it look like it's going to be a Disney Xmas for the Helsley's. We are going to WDW the week before and my in-laws are going to be at DL Xmas day. I need this info for them and they will be staying off-site. I've been reading and it sounds like DL is worse than magic kingdom crowd-wise on xmas. Do they need to make sure they get there before the park opens so they'll get in. I saw a post talking about Plaza Inn breakfast w/Pooh caracters is this any good and could they just walkup and do this or do they need a PS. I would also like any info that you feel could help they will only be there a few days with my pooh crazy niece and it's her first time. Do they have anything like a Pal Mickey. Thanks for your help.

I am not sure about the Pal Mickey, but can be of help with the rest of your questions. We went to Disneyland the day after Christmas a few years ago and were shocked at the crowds. They are unbearable to say the least. However, if this date is their only choice, they can make the best of it. I would go very early and have a plan of what rides I wanted to go on first. If they make good use of the Fastpass system they should be able to get most of the rides in. It is best to eat at odd times....such as a late breakfast/early lunch, or late lunch/early dinner. Ride the rides when everyone else is eating so to speak! They do need a reservation at Crystal Palace and since your niece loves Pooh that is a good choice. The other character meals are great as well, Goofy's Kitchen is a must for us! I would really study the park map before going to get a good idea of where everything is. I hope you all have wonderful holidays!

The park has been known to "close the gates" during the week between Christmas and NYE. So it is best for them to get there at opening and plan to stay.

There is no pal mickey.

You can get PS for the Plaza Inn 60 days in advance. You can get the number of the Disneyland Website by going to Dinning.
