Not the end of the world as will be there only 4 nights (Aug 26-30). Wyndham looks very good, Hotel Kingdom has good rate @ $66 for a 1BR. Are the 2BR worth the price difference (there are 4 of us and kids are young 7 and 10)? Concerned about Hotel Kingdom's cancellation policy.

Any other deals better out there if we are only planning 1 Universal trip (no Disney) and actually want to sit by pools and relax?

Thanks,

Have you considered staying at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal? We were there for three nights in the middle of July and loved it. We had an Entertainment Rate of $110, which is a great price for a deluxe resort like the RPR. Another perk (which is really the best) is that you can go to the front of the line at the Universal parks if you are staying onsite. The pool at the RPR is great too.

I also stayed at the Wyndham Palms for two nights on this trip. We had a two bedroom which I booked through hotelkingdom.com at the rate of $89. It was a very nice, new unit. HUGE! The complex was nice. We didn't use the pools. Just a note, if we had wanted to use the pool, we would have had to take the car (or wait to be picked up by a golfcart shuttle) to get to the pool. It would be a very long walk in the intense heat. You can't just run down to the pool like you can at a hotel.

Just thought I would give you my two cents.

Have a great trip.

Is there any reason you can't just bid on another SkyAuction? Most of them say you can travel within 3 days. There are some deals on there right now for your week. Good Luck!

Westgate & Cypress Pointe. I can pay virtually the same for 4 nights elsewhere.

Still figuring out though.

I see it too, but you bid first. Great place. I am changing courses and trying for a different place.

This is a good honest community, but tipping me (or others) off could have cost you the place.

Good luck.....

Wyndham Palms is very worth the extra 20 bux or so to get the 2nd bedroom. it will give you like 1000 more sq ft. the 1 bedroom they offer on hotelkingdom.com is the small 1 bedroom that has I think 650 sq ft. the 2 bedroom has over 1500 sq ft.

We have won a different auction (not Orlando). A little more expensive, but more exclusive. Point is good luck for OLCC. A gorgeous resort imo.
