What a great board!! I have been wanting a place just like this to ask questions!!

Anyway I'm new here, maybe this has been asked a ton of times but I'm on weight watchers, have 20 pounds left to go :D and should be at my goal weight by our trip!!

Problem...We will be on the silver plan in October for the FTP........do you hear what I am saying????? 7 days of Silver plan at Disney World!!!!..................then it get's worse, a three night cruise on the Wonder!!!! Ok, well I know things could be a lot worse (but you know what I'm saying right?)

What to do, what to do???

I'm planning to eat at a lot of seafood places (i love seafood anyway) but I just don't know if I can turn down great food and desserts I have already paid for ..........let me correct myself.............I can't turn down food I have already paid for!!!

Doing other things besides eating is not an option since all my husband does is talk about how he will make disney pay for all the food he is going to eat  and my inlaws will be on the trip as well as BIL and SIL and 3 kids. Everyone is excited to eat at all the different places (me too) just that I don't want to come home with an extra 10 pounds.

Any ideas?? Should I just drink water for breakfast, then eat small portions for lunch and dinner? What about the dessert thing? Can I stop at one bite? I'm actually wondering if it would be possible for me to lose an extra 10 pounds before the trip, so I can eat what I want on the trip and gain it back.

How do you do it??

Thanks!:p

Congrats on being so close to goal. Here's my take on what you asked.
1. DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST. Sorry to yell, but you know better than that. You need the fuel, you will be walking, a lot. Drink lots of water, all day. You know the rules!

2. Because you will be walking around so much, eat as you do at home, just be smart about it. Drink lots of water, all day. You know the rules!

3. Some desserts you will probably only eat one bite, others you may eat it all, but again, you will be getting alot of exercize, that will help. Drink lots of water, all day. You know the rules!

4. I was on the Wonder in December of 2000, and if the food is what is was then, you have no worries. I know a lot of other people will rave, but I thought the food was very institutional. I never at dessert, I was not on WW, Atkins, nothing, the desserts were not appealing at all. But if you find yourself eating more than you want, take the stairs, leave the elevators for others. It will help burn off the extra. Drink lots of water, all day. You know the rules!

I would not try to lose 10 extra just to be able to gain it all back. The last 5 to 10 are the hardest anyway, I just think you are setting yourself up for a bad time. Besides, there is one dress up night on your cruise, how would you feel if you bought a really pretty dress that fit before you left, and then that night, you couldn't wear it because it was too tight?

Just be sensible, if DH thinks he is going to get his moneys worth and then some, let him have your desserts! You can do this! You can come back and go to your meeting, step on the scale, and maybe show a loss!
