Okay everyone - stressing juuuuust a tad here. Looking at the selection of food for the Quick Service Dining Plan at the Poly, and I don't know if I am reading this wrong of not, but it looks like we can only get food at Captain Cooks and they only offer very limited items and not even hot breakfast!! We can't even EAT at Kona Kafe?!?! Someone tell me this isn't true....looks like our poor DD will have to eat chicken, macaroni and grilled cheese for the week??? BOOORING!

Help me sort this out - where CAN we eat at the Poly?:confused3

As you are on QS and Kona is TS, no, you can't eat there unless you pay OOP. Looking at the menu for Cooks, looks like they do a hot breakfast platter, so you should be OK for that.

Captain Cook's is the only QS location at the Poly. It does indeed serve hot breakfast, including Tonga toast. (So I've heard).
You also have easy access by monorail to the Grand Floridian and Contemporary, where you can also use their QS restaurants.

And of course, not sure why you anticipate using all your credits at the Poly? You will likely find yourself in the parks for many meals.

Per allears, the breakfast menu at Captain Cooks:

Bounty Platter - eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and french toast sticks $8.29

Mickey Waffle $4.59

Croissant Breakfast Sandwich - Scrambled Eggs, bacon, and Cheddar Cheese on a jumbo croissant $5.99

Tonga Toast - banana-stuffed sourdough bread, battered, deep-fried and dusted with cinnamon and sugar $5.19

Children's Breakfast - scrambled eggs, bacon and grapes. Comes with choice of 1% Mickey Milk, apple juice or bottled water $4.39

Children's French Toast - bacon and grapes. Comes with choice of 1% Mickey Milk, apple juice or bottled water $4.39

Thank you so much! When I go on the Dis sight for the Poly resort info, and then click on dining - this is all that comes up and it is very vague.

Just read the dining info on allears and it is VERY different! Hhhm.....

We just stayed there a few weeks ago and used QS @ Captain Cook's. There's hot breakfast there. We also took the monorail over the Contempo Cafe (QS) one morning for breakfast. We also ate at the bar by Kona Island in the AMs. DH would pick up a fruit bowl with a snack credit at Captain Cook's and I'd get a couple of bagels. We'd watch the monorail go by and enjoy the ambiance of the Great Ceremonial House. Enjoy. So many ways to use your options!

Thanks! Sounds like it was a great plan then. I am just one of those people that does NOT do well with restrictions in general, let alone with what I can eat! LOL! :rotfl: Looks like I'll have plenty of options. Did you and DH ever eat at the GF? That's one I would LOVE to go to with my 9yo DD. I think she would just LOVE the theming there - very "Cinderella" to me. princess:
