Hiya,

is there an expert out there who can help - we are planning to pin/write/whatever our mobile phone number on the kids so if they get lost (heaven forbid:eek:) they can show a CM who can contact us.

How do we write the number so they can just ring us quickly without looking up international this and that???

Say the number is 07961 234 567

Help gratefully appreciated

Tessa

Don't forget the international dialling code of 011 is needed before the 44 if dialling from a landline or + if from another mobile.

Claire ;)

I knew there would be something to confuse me....

so if say someone in MK was to try to ring my UK mobile from their landline in their office, they would need to dial

011 44 7961 234 567

or if they were calling from a US mobile they would ring

+44 7961 234 567

Is this right??? Just trying to get things clear in my head....

Thanks
Tessa

Yes correct :) Also the + is an internationally recognised feature for any mobile phone so it could be another UK mobile, a Canadian mobile or Mexican mobile and it would still work ok!

Hi there

We are just back and had the same concern with our three year old, so when we arrived at the parks, we asked Guest Relations if they had any paper braclets for ID, they only had a sort of luggage tag, albeit a pretty one, but it may be easier to do yourself at home.

Magic Kingdom had a tag you can write your details and put around the childs neck and so did Animal Kingdom. Epcot didn't, but we used the one we got at innovations.

We were really surprised they didn't offer a wristband you could write on and attach to your child, but the paper tag worked oK, although we tucked it in her pocket and told her to go to a Cast Member and kept pointing them out!, or go to another Mummy, as mummys can always find another mummy!

Luckily we had no problems and it was fine. I believe there is a childrens mail order company that sells plastic braclets to put your childs information on.

we just put our name and wrote ' mobile +447901 123 456' and where we were staying.

I think most people are now aware of how to go about calling a mobile.

Have a great time.

Kate

Thanks Kate -
am surfing for bracelets... if not we'll do it on dog tags clipped in pockets or to shoes.

Cheers,

Hi

Funnily enough I received a catalogue from the company who sells the wristbands today!

They are brightly coloured and have 'look on inside for details' on the outside and you can write in marker pen you details.

They are £6 for three and available from the Great Little Trading Company.

Hope the link works
