We will be taking our father to see Spectro and Wishes on Dec 6 this year and he will be using a ECV. Anyone have any tips on best places and times to get parked for viewing both of these events. I would really like him to be in front of the Castle for the best viewing of Wishes.

I don't have a MK map to check out the Handicap parking locations and am trying to put my plan together.

Any tips from the experienced would be appreciated.

We were at Disney last week and usually sit in the handicapped area near the castle however this trip we arrived late and it was FULL. A cast member escorted us to an alternative area near city hall where the parade starts -- only a few other people were there (maybe 4 chairs) . We had a great parade viewing! After a c.m. mentioned that anywhere along main st offers good views of Wishes. We didn't bother to go all the way down main st and stayed nearer the entrance. They were still lovely and the exit to our OKW bus was a lot easier afterwards! My parents ages 86 and 88 went the next night and I advised them to do the same thing we had done and they enjoyed it too!

I suggest watching the 9:00 Spectromagic parade in the disabled viewing area next to the statue (Tomorrowland side). Get your place, then send an able-bodied person to get food at Casey's. After that parade, just turn to the left for a good view of the castle and Tinkerbelle flying. We did this on our recent trip and it was great!

Thanks for the replys. Any suggestion for how soon we should select a spot by the statue? Spectro is at 7 PM and Wishes at 8 PM on Dec 6.

If you want to take LindaDVC's suggestion, that viewing area is on the circle facing City Hall. The advantage to that spot is the parade starts from around the corner so you're among the first to see it. Then, after things clear (people will follow the parade and CMs will remove rope barriers) you can go about a quarter of the way around the circle to your right and you'll be facing Main Street - IMO the perfect viewing spot for Wishes.

The first time we got there (statue wheelchair seating) about 45 minutes early and got in the front row. Second time about 20 minutes early and got a second row spot. By simply turning and pulling forward after Spectromagic, we had really good seats for Wishes. I prefer this over moving down Main Street after Spectromagic because 1) You don't have to fight the crowds and 2) There is no jockeying for positions. No one stood directly in front of us. I could see the castle, all fireworks, Tinkerbell flying, and hear the music.
