Hey everyone...
Not Disney related, but I really need some help. I have a wedding to go to on New Years Eve (just want to point out that I am single and will be the only single person there on NEW YEARS EVE (think midnight here) - please, play your tiny violins). Anyways, my dear friends getting married are one of those couples you just don't know what to buy. Additionally, being a full time student, I have a very limited budget to get them a lavish gift. I have seen her registry, and everything is well beyond my means.
I need suggestions as to what to get. What is a good idea for gifts for people on their wedding day that is affordable and a great gesture? I love my friends very much, but I seriously am having some troubles. Any suggestions is appreciated.
Thanks everyone,
Jo

This is what I did. I waited for a sale at The Bay, all crystal was 50% off! I was able to buy a few wine glasses from their registry and I didn't end up spending a lot. Keep an eye out for those after Christmas sales!

I don't know where you live but if you have a Dansk or Mikasa outlet near you, you might find some good deals.

Along the same theme as Princess Pooh, what about a nice crystal vase. I've seen some beautiful ones at the Bay, and they usually have a sale on :) And everytime her new hubby brings her flowers, they will be able to think of you. I still think about "who I got that from" when I use something that was a wedding gift. Just remember that you don't have to spend a lot of $ to buy something thoughtful.

Early in our marriage when we didn't have much and we went to a garden wedding, I made my own gift basket wrapped with cellophane and beautiful ribbons. I filled it with 2 champagne glasses, a bottle of the bubbly and a box of Godiva chocolates. I threw cellophane grass in the bottom of the basket too and it made a real nice presentation. Just an idea. Good luck!

To even make this one a little easier on the budget ~ Take the Champagne Bottle (even sparkling wine) and attach the two champagne flutes to the neck of the bottle with curling ribbon! Add a pretty bow and a card! Voila!

Instant Wedding Gift!

Oh Yeah ~ :charac2: :charac2: :charac2: Enjoy the wedding anyways! Remember you don't have to have someone, you'll be among friends!

I have a friend who is in the same situation as you are and she just went to a wedding of a close friend. She is a baker so she gave them a pie/cake a month for the first year of their marriage. If you're not a baker maybe you could give them housecleaning, casseroles etc.

I would have loved (and still would) for someone to give me housecleaning as a gift. My DH would be even more ecstatic as he does the lion's share of it.
