Help with vacation plans please!

So we are thinking about visiting Paris , and the DLP Resort for the first time this year. Can someone tell me what the best season to visit both the city and the parks is? Ideally we'd like to go when the crowds are not too tough to handle, when the parks aren't that busy, and when the weather is somewhat decent.

Having been to WDW in the summer when it was humid, upwards of 95+ degree weather, and we stood in lines that were about 60 to 75 mins long, we can handle a few hurdles. We certainly wouldn't mind very hot or cold temperatures, but lots of rain, and dreary days would bum us out.

Finally, which Disney hotel, and what area of the city would y'all recommend we stay? We always prefer staying in places that are rather centrally located, and withing walking distance to everything.

Me Me Me!

We went in October of last year, it was cooler but wasn't uncomfortably so and the crowds were ok, even at the weekend.

We stayed at the Newport Bay which was just ok, nothing great but honestly I think I've been spoiled by Orlando!

It is super expensive to eat there so consider doing the half board option if you can as it does save you a bit of cash.

This was years ago before the second park was built. It was middle of November and we were staying in a 1-star hotel by the Louvre that we had found on PurpleRoofs.com. Since it's only a 45-min train ride, took a day-trip to DLP. Paris was having a cold spell so temperatures were in the 30s, but it didn't matter. The park was beautiful, many of the queues were indoors and you could always warm up in a gift shop. Husbear bought DLP hat and gloves that he still has.

Poor ducks! The smaller ponds were frozen so they just waddled on top of frozen ice until they got to the castle moat and Rivers of America. But because it was so cold, it really felt like Christmas (said by someone who grew up in the Northwest). I've been to WDW and DL in December and even though it's all decorated, it still doesn't feel in my bones like Christmas.

We skipped several of the outdoor attractions, but had a full day and went to the Buffalo Bill show at Disney Village. Everything was a walk-on, I think we might have waited maybe 5 minutes for space mountain. So I would recommend going at the same time as I would recommend for the other theme parks, first couple weeks of December when the Christmas decorations are up but before the crowds hit. We enjoyed experiencing Disney in the cold...just be prepared and you'll have a great time.
