Help with using banked points

I have a dec use year and I get very confused with it for some reason.
I originally was planning two upcoming trips one in May 2013 and the other in Nov/Dec 2013. Due to a new baby on the way, we will only be doing the Nov/Dec 2013 trip now.
I have 210 points and my use year starts on Dec 2012-Nov2013. I have banked 48 points from the previous use year into my 2012 use year thinking I would use it in May. If my trip technically starts in Nov 2013, starting the last week of Nov, can I use the banked points first so I don't lose them and then use my dec 2012 points for the rest of the reservation?
I just don't want to lose 48 points.

You can use your 48 banked 2011 points up through November 30, 2013, as well as your normal 2012 points. As of December 1, 2013, you will be in your 2013 use year. You can use 2013 points, banked 2012 points or borrowed 2014 points for that portion of your trip.

Points are charged day by day. So as long as the portion of your stay that falls in Nov, 2012 totals 48 points or more, you could use the banked points. That includes 30 Nov but nothing after that.

As Dean says, stays are calculated by the day, so you'll have to plan it out carefully to use your banked points for the nights up to and including Nov. 30, plus any Dec. '12 points you need. Then you'll have to bank the rest of your Dec. 12 points into Dec. '13, and you can use them for the nights starting Dec. 1, 2013. It's certainly doable, but I suggest you plan exactly what you want, because it will be hard to change -- you won't be able to move the points back around.
