Hi,

Please help me with the type of tickets I need to get. I have some basic questions that I'm unsure and hope you can help.

The Magic My Way ticket - I understand that it would only be for one park per day. But can you have multiple entry to the same part on that one day or must it be one entry, one park, one day?

If I need to have the option of multiple entry to one park, do I have to get the Park Hopper option?

Can you have the option to upgrade your MMW ticket to No Expiration option after purchasing or do you have to do it at the beginning when purchase the tickets?

Dh and I are taking our 2 kids (almost 5 and 6.5 yrs old) to WDW in a month time. We'll stay at the Coronado Springs Resort. I'll do the parks with dh and kids for about 5 days and then will be in a conference for about 4-5 days. Dh and kids will do the parks for the entire stay of 9-10 days.

Do you think there are things to do outside of DWD but still on the property? I am asking if I should buy 9-day tickets for them or just maybe 7-day and they would have things to do on the property other than DWD. We don't intent to rent a car, so going off property will not be an option.

I appreciate any help you can give.

You understand right, once you use it in one park that is it, you are stuck in that park all day. You can leave that park grab some lunch and go back but you can't go to another park that same day.

That is right you need to add the Park Hopper Option.

As long as one day is remaining on your tickets you can add that, you can do at guest services or you can do it at your resort.

Personally I would plan some days off in there, to me they at that age they may tire out quickly and 2 days off spread out would really help! You can go to DTD or the waterparks or just hang out at your pool, or check out the other resorts, basically just have some down days this way they have the energy to keep up with you guys on the park days. :yay:
Another you can go is go to AKL and check out the animals, anyone can go and look at them or go to a character meal, the list is endless. :cheer2:

There is also a couple of mini-putt courses you can go to. There is one named Winter-Summerland and I forget the name of the other but it has to do with the movie Fantasia. :sunny:

Here's a description of the different types of tickets:

1. The Base Ticket -- This ticket can be purchased for 1 to 10 days. You will have admission to one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios) each day, for the number of days on your ticket.

2. The Magic Your Way w/Park Hopper Option -- This ticket can be purchased for 1 to 10 days. This will give you admission to all four of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios) and allows you to go from park to park on the same day for the number of days your ticket is good for.

3. The Magic Your Way w/Water Parks and More Option -- This ticket can be purchased for 1 to 10 days. This ticket is the same as the base ticket but adds visits for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Blizzard Beach Water Park, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest, and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. No park hopping.

4. The Magic Your Way Premium Ticket -- This ticket can be purchased for 1 to 10 days. This pass is jam packed with fun. You get the Magic Your Way w/ Park Hopper Option and the Magic Your Way w/Water Parks and More Option combined.

I hope this helps!

If you want multiple entry to the SAME park, you don't need the hopper option. However, the cost of the hopper feature isn't that much and it gives you the option to go to another park if one of the parks is too busy or if there is not enough at one of the parks to keep you interested all day.

I believe you have to add the no expiration option within 14 days from the first day that you use your pass to enter one of the parks.

sorry on the 1st question I must not have read it right.
On the 2nd one, When I phoned Disney they told me that as long as I have one day left I can add the non expiry before it expires, so I did not explain that right, sorry again.
I guess I am having a bad morning.. lol

Resort hopping is one of my favourite things to do. You can take a resort launch from MK and sail over to the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian Resorts and check them out. You can also catch a boat from MK over to visit Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Campground and visit the petting zoo.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is breathtaking. Along with the animals on the 3 Savanahs (Sunset, Arusha and Uzima) to view, there's a big fire pit where stories of Africa are told in the evening (check with front desk for time).

From Downtown Disney (behind Rainforest Cafe) there is a nice boat ride along the Sassagoula River to the Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter Resorts. Stop into the food court at FQ for some freshly made beignets. Yum!

Stroll along Disney's Boardwalk and have lunch at the ESPN Club or an ice cream sundae at Beaches and Cream in the Beach Club Resort. The kids can have their faces painted, too!

Looks like I would be adding the Hopper option to our tickets. Now I just have to work out who has the best price (the conference rate, ticketmania, etc. )

Thanks again.

When I was looking at 7 day versus 10 day it was less that $10.00 to go for the 10 day from the 7. If you are getting non-expiring go for the 10 day ticket.

Hi ~ We bought 7 day hoppers with 5 water park options that do not expire. We used 4 park days and a couple of water park days. We are saving the other 3 days with water park tickets for our next trip. We really enjoyed our non-park days this trip! S
