I just plunked in some addresses that we need to visit as soon as we get to Florida. We are renting a car at the airport and need to stop at Publix, Vineland's Premium Outlet, off to get our KGS tickets in Celebration, then to get the keys to our rental house in Kissimmee and then backtrack a bit to get to the actual house itself on Manesty Lane. This is what google maps suggested: http://goo.gl/maps/0DOVd - does it look like the most reasonable route to take? We can't get the keys until 4 pm so we're making the other stops first. Google indicates a toll road, but is there a way to find out how much and if it is manned or unmanned?

I'm really nervous my husband getting into some sort of traffic snarl. We are not from the states and don't live anywhere with more than 2 lane highways, no tolls. We bought mapping software online for a handheld hiking GPS but we won't know how accurate it is until we get there. If you were driving, is this the route you would take?

Sorry for the crazy-long post, but I also saw a reference to going "the back way" to MK from the Windsor Hills area. We're going to try to make RD at MK on our full day there and I'm hoping for any suggestions or tips on route from Manesty Lane. Eventually we'll be going to DTD from the rental and from there to MK as well, but for now I'm just really anxious about trusting google maps and want to make sure I have enough American change on me in case of unmanned booths so we can give exact change.

Thank you so much for reading my novel. I truly would appreciate any help you are able to give.

Is the Publix at 8145 Vineland decent? Is there really a "back way" to Magic Kingdom / other parks from Windsor Hills?

The back road people usually refer to is called Sherbeth Rd. It runs right to the Animal Kingdom area. However, at this time of year, I don't think you'll see enough traffic to make it worthwhile taking alternate routes to places like MK. It's been too long since I've been to the Publix you are using to comment. We usually use the closer one on 192.
