Help with transportation from Paris CDG to Disney at around midnight on a Sunday

Hi,

I have booked for myself, my partner and my 2 year old daughter to go to DLP on Sunday 28th Sept. We will be arriving at CDG Airport at approx 11PM.

I am concerened about the best way to get from the airport to the Disneyland Hotel (Newport). I have looked at the RER and the TGV and also looked at hiring a car etc. I'm very confused as to what options are available to me. Because of the late hour of our arrival our options for the VEA shuttle bus are non existent. I am also not keen on taking the train (and having to change twice) around midnight with a cranky 2 year old. I would prefer to get in a car from the airport and just get to the hotel asap.

I would like to know if anyone can advise the best way to get to the hotel. I have read in guide books that a Taxi costs around £80 from CDG to any Disney hotel - can anyone confirm that this is the case ? I have also looked at hiring a car from CDG and driving to the hotel but the cheapest I have found is £100 (This is picking the car up at the Airport around 11PM and dropping it off at 10AM at Disney Park the next day

Any advice whatsoever would be very greatly received.

Have you looked at the VEA shuttle. This may be worth looking at

I have decided (upon the advice of the first two respondents) to book through RSTransport. I have been in contact with them and have managed to get a vehicle from the Airport for me, my partner and 2 year old daughter (with baby seat included) for 70 Euros.

Fingers crossed that everything goes OK and thanks to all that replied.

Hi, just wondering if the 70 euro price was for a one way trip or return? I am having a similar problem, my flight lands at 9.25pm and by the time I get through customs, baggage etc I will miss the last TGV. I'm not sure if I can get the VEA shuttle due to the time, but even if I can I have heard a few horror stories about them and wanted to avoid if possible.

I'm also a bit worried about getting the train where you have to change stations as I will be on my own with my 6 year old and my french is non existant. If I knew more details about the connection times, places etc I might feel more confident, so if anyone has any details I would be grateful

Hi Traci,

I just did a search for a Monday evening arrival at CDG (as I don't know which date you will arrive on) - there are TGV trains direct from CDG to DLRP at 21.55, 22.55 and 23.19pm.

You would be too late to catch a VEA shuttle.

If I were you (I always travel to DLRP with just my DD(7)) at that time of night, for convenience and least hassle, I'd book with rs transports. I used them last November when we had an evening flight into CDG. They were excellent, it cost 55euros one way (shared shuttle price, but we didn't share with anyone). We had no delays at all, the driver was waiting right at the exit with my name on a board, and the journey was fast and completely hassle-free. Lovely clean sedan with big leather seats too .

You can easily get the TGV back from DLRP to CDG - its a very easy journey to make that way, and can give you a lot longer in the Parks before you have to start your return journey.

I will be arriving on the Sunday evening (27th July) so I don't know if that will make a difference?

I will look into the shared shuttle with RS, thanks for the tip about only getting it one way! Just another question,, sorry to flap so much,,, when you booked with RS did you book online? Also where do you meet the bus at the airport?

Yes, you book online with rs transports, but I don't pay in advance, I pay the driver in cash when we arrive at our hotel (you get to choose this option when you book online).

Your rs transport driver will be waiting for you at the exit of your baggage carousel area, thats where you meet him, and he will take you out to your vehicle (we didn't have a bus, we had a lovely big car).

Take a note of the rstransport telephone number when you book and put it in your mobile phone, then you have piece of mind that you can phone them if you don't see your driver at your terminal exit.

I have just had a quick search online for the TGV timetable and I'm pretty sure the last train is just before 10pm on Sunday nights so it looks like RS will be the safest bet

I feel much better now that I know that I don't have to pay beforehand, always worried that I wil pay and no-one will turn up

Looks like you have already been answered but the 70 Euros cost is one way. There is a return price too but I have not looked into that as I will probably get the train from Disney to CDG.

As has already been mentioned there is a 'shared' price of 55 Euros but we have opted for the direct route to eliminate the possibility of any further delays when we arrive, although reading the above we may have had the car to ourselves even if we had opted for the 'shared journey'.
