Help with transportation around the World

From what I have read here on the boards, there are alot of folks who love and hate the WDW transportation system. It seems to me, obviously, that the more familiar you are, the easier the trips to the parks/resorts/shows are.

Can anyone give me some advise on how to make the transportation system more familiar to me. Is there somewhere I could go in order to get a schedule for busses, monorail, boats, trains, planes and automobiles?

How do I get from the Poly to Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic dinner package? From the Poly to the Hoop-Dee-Doo? Just a million more questions to come.

When we check in, we are usually given a transportation guide which tells you how to get from one place to another. But that's once you're there. It really is quite easy once you get the hang of it. We like the bus transportation. But I know it's not for everyone.

the transportation guide is a geat tool. also think of using a park as a leg of your journey. we needed to get from PO-R to WL for dinner so we took but to MK and they picked up bus to WL. we just wanted to avoid TTC it worked great.
