First time i'll be taking my family to Disneyland. Wife and I and our 3 daugthers 8,6 and 5.

This is what touring plans has for us for Jan 22 ( disneyland crowd calender shows a 4 for this day)

Anyone recommend any changes to this plan? I purchased Max pass but with this plan it is telling not to get a Max Pass until 12:30pm for Astro Blasters? Should I be getting something on Max pass as soon as I enter the park? I didnt add any lunch or breaks as my kids are unpredictable when they want to eat.

We will be there for rope drop for 9:00am opening

1. Alice in Wonderland 9:07am
2. Dumbo the Flying Elephant 9:18am
3. Peter Pan's Flight 9:27am ( was thinking of getting rid of this since the thread about not doing PP during rope drop)
4. Pinocchio's Daring Journey 9:49am
5. Snow White's Scary Adventures 9:57am
6. Jungle Cruise 10:12am
7. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 10:35am
8. Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin 11:05 am
9. Mickey's House and Meet Mickey 11:13 am
10. Minnie's House 11:30am
11. Storybook Land Canal Boots 12:02pm
12. Mad Tea Party 12:26pm
13 Obtain Fastpass for Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters using Maxpass 12:37 (return time 1:35 - 2:35pm)
14. Case Jr Circus Train 12:37pm
15. Mark Twain Riverboat 12:57pm
16. Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room 1:26pm
17. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters 1:55pm

It looks like most of the rides you have listed do will not even have fast pass so perhaps that is why it wasn't suggested you get MaxPass - as that is an added expense of at least $15 per person.

Unless...would either you or your wife want to do some of the bigger rides that do have fast pass such as Space, Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones etc.? Also the plan is just showing up until 2 in the afternoon, are you planning on just doing half a day? Or you could get MP for just the two adults and take turns riding the bigger rides?

Thanks for the tip. I didn't even think of the fact that not all rides uses MaxPass. I actually purchased 3-day non-park hopper tickets and included the Maxpass for $10 each before the price increase. Hopefully, I can use it more when we go to DCA the following day.

Me and my wife aren't really into the bigger rides. We just want to go on the rides that the kids are willing to go on. We plan on staying for most of the day until the kids are tired and take a break back at the Courtyard theme park hotel. Hopefully, we can make it back for the new mix magic show

MP only works for the rides that are on the FP system. You can find a list of these rides on the DLR website and on the DLR app. Look over the list to see what your girls might be interested in. (Check to make sure everyone passes the height requirements!) There are ride through videos of most of the DLR rides on YouTube if you want to preview something to see if the girls like it. Make sure the videos are from DLR, not WDW or another Disney park.

At ages 8, 6, and 5, I think that you could easily add Pirates and Haunted Mansion to your list. Also, Big Thunder and Matterhorn are not super crazy coasters - they are thrilling but would not be considered intense compared to most modern ones. They are great "introductory" coasters for younger riders, but still super fun for older folks. Space Mountain is a little more intense, but mainly because it's in the dark. Depending on their thrill tolerances you might find that one or more of your kids would like these attractions, and that would give you some good use of your maxpass. If they like Star Wars, Star Tours might also be worth a go - again it's thrilling but it isn't super intense - The first time we went as a family my kids at ages 7 and 3 loved Star Tours (my 3 year old barely measured up, but we rode it again and again).

You know your kids best, of course.

Based on your visiting date you are going on an Extra Magic Hour / Magic Morning Day.
You also seem to not have access to this event since you mentioned rope drop at 9am.

Since DLR opens at 10AM that day, I was assuming they do have access...
