My plan on the 12th (of October... I'm planning ahead): I arrive at Del Sol probably around 3:30/4. Then I'm going to get my hair done at a local salon (thanks for the Yelp suggestions - I've found a place).

When do the ticket booths close? I have a ticket thanks to AirMiles, however I don't want to waste time the next morning, so I want to get my photo done that evening and maybe wander around for a bit before heading back to the hotel... at close ;).

On the 13th I'm going to hit MM and then when I catch my breath, go and flip my 5DPH to an AP because discounts! My friend from San Diego will meet me at some point before lunch. When I upgrade, I do that at the ticket booths? Do I get my photo done there again, or at the gate? And will it be a new photo or do they use the one they've already taken?

Now, here's where the timings hit - the earliest I can get the PTN On The Go at Aladdin's is 12:00 and that's for the 8:45 (?) parade correct? Can I ask them for the late parade even if I get our meal at noon?

It's also the evening I want my fancy-schmancy dinner at Napa Rose. Will a 6pm dinner at the Chef's Table for 2 allow enough time to wander down to the seating area for PTN by 7:45 or so? Or should we move the dinner up to 5:00 or 5:30?

Friday, with luck, will be a MHP night, but my friend will be gone by then, so unless someone else comes to keep me company, I'll be solo the rest of the weekend.

Saturday I was going to treat myself to a WOC Dessert party. When does the second show start? I think I'd like to catch that one so I can ride RSR at night beforehand.

Sunday I have NOTHING planned so I'm going to wander around and check things out as I feel like - hit some character meet & greets probably. And Monday my flight leaves around 2:55 from SNA, so I might even have enough time to squeak in a couple hours in the park before taking the shuttle back to the airport.

What timings or events would you tweak?

I know Del Sol isn't an amazing place, but it's close and affordable seeing as how I'm paying for the majority of the stay by myself. I called and they were kind enough to give me the AP rate as long as I show my AP before the end of my stay and they're going to only charge me parking for the time my friend is with me, so I won't have to pay for parking the whole time.

You guys have great ideas, so thanks for taking the time in reading and answering.

They scan your ticket before the photo. You will use a day on your ticket if you go to the turnstile on arrival day. If you upgrade to an AP then that will also be the start date of your AP because you used a day. The PH photo and the AP photo are different. You have to upgrade at the ticket booth. As of now there are no pictures at the ticket booth.

Why would you make a reservation at Napa Rose Chef's Counter that gives you less than 2 hours to grab a spot for PTN? Take the earliest time you can get to allow for seating delay and travel time and not have to rush.

The chef's counter, at least when we did it, was set times. I would not do it any night you have something to get to after. It's a lot of courses, and takes lots of time (at least 2 1/2 hours, but probably more like 3 to 3 1/2), and is well worth it. Also, in the off season sometimes WOC only shows once and there is only one parade. This past October some days there were two parades, others one, so don't hinge your plans on two.

Well see, now this is why I ask questions here! It doesn't really say how long Napa Rose Chef's Counter takes online, and I can eat a full meal in 20 minutes (military training), so I had no idea how long dinner would take.

Ok, so I'll pass on the Aladdin thing til sometime over the weekend then and we'll just aim for a QS restaurant for lunch. If my friend really wants to see the parade and if we're lucky enough to catch a late showing of PTN on Thursday, then we'll just make do with getting a spot near IASW if possible. Otherwise, I'll wait til another night.

When I called recently the Chefs table times were 5:30 and 8:30 I believe. I read to allow atleast 2 hours for the dinner. :)
