Help !!(with t shirt printing....)

Okay...I know I know this answer but for the life of me I cant figure out how to print this correctly. I am sorry if this is a stupid question.

If I am going to print a name filled design or any other image that has writing on it and I am printing it to put on a t shirt dont I need to print it BACKWARDS so that when I iron it on the t shirt it will not be backwards? I thought you could do something like print mirror image, but I cant seem for the life of me to find that. Can anyone please give me some kind of quidance on how to flip this image so that when I iron it on the shirts it will be correct. I tried to find the answer on the boards before I typed this but could not find it. Thanks so much, and I am so sorry if this is a common sense question that I (as a school teacher) should know.

Hey there - Where did you get your transfer paper? Did you order it from Amy? If so, you don't need to flip/rotate/transpose/etc. Just print as is. Hers are super easy to use... If you got them elsewhere, I hope someone can help you! I used hers - so didn't have to tweak with any settings... Good luck!

Dark transfers are generally, if not always, laid face up for ironing so you do NOT reverse the images. And I always used dark transfers (Amy's) if the shirt was black, a color or white!

Instructions with transfers will always tell you ....

Thank you both so much. I will get with Amy on some of her paper. And thanks about the advice about the other paper. I am a first timer at the t shrit thing so I appreciate the advice.

I figured out how to resize and flip, so I printed one out on paper and it came out all grainy, not sharp like a photo. What am I doing wrong. If I leave it as is, it is the size of a wallet photo.

you have undoubtedly downloaded the thumbnail rather than the full resolution image and resizing it will make it grainy.


go to Photobucket

double-click on selected image

move mouse to upper left

click on zoom in

then and only then move mouse to right and click on download


(other shared sites will work similarly to Photobucket)

Now that I figured out how to correctly print out the transefer - an 8x10 or 11 looks huge. It will overpower my boys and draw attention wear I personally don't need it

So, does anyone print and wear them in a 5x7 size? They look much more mangable to wear on boys and big girls
