Help with section shirts?

Hello, I need help designing section shirts.

I have navy blue shirts, and I'd like to do iron-ons because it would simplify things (in the past, we have painted).

I don't really like the white squares cut out and put on the dark shirt... I was hoping I could get words/phrases that would be easy to cut out and iron on individually.

I need it to somehow include...

Pride of Pendleton
Saxophone Section 2009
Clownin' Around (show theme is "Send in the Clowns")

I'd really just like filled words... like the Disney names, except with a non-Disney pattern. I've had this done with zebra print before, but I'm afraid that's too girly. Maybe plaid or polka dots?
