help with room requests at POR

This wasn't too big of an issue before this past weekend but now it is. Our girls trip is 6 days away. It is actually a mother - daughter trip. The oldes mother is 82 and gets around great but tires out pretty quick. My Mom however has damaged a tendon in her foot as of last week and is now in a walking cast type of boot. I want to request a ground floor room (given they don't have elevators) close to bus stops and the food court. Can anyone help me with the best way to make this request? Should I fax something ahead of our arrival? Thanks in advance!

We were in the mansion section, last month and our building had an elevator. It was still a three minute walk to the main building though.

thanks for that bit of info...I was under the impression that the entire hotel didn't have elevators. I obviously had bad info. Thanks!!

I tried calling POP yesterday to make room requests for our upcoming stay in a couple of weeks and they said they would be glad to, that I just needed to call back 5 days out. This was with calling the resort direct. I would try giving POR a call direct and see what they can work for you. I'm sure they would be willing to honor your request.
