I need everyones help with dining choices. I have a very picky eater that is twelve, so not allowed to eat off children's menu? We are on the dining plan. I was thinking about Le Cellier steak house, Cindarellas castle for dinner, sci fi, le original de alfredo, chef mickeys( not sure breakfast or dinner) and the garden grill. Maybe also Spoodles Help I must decide we are going in december 05 :confused3

Hi, I also have a picky eater. I would do the buffets. Chef mickeys and 1900 park fair and crystal palce are awesome! Even though he is consider a adult by mickey, he can hit the eat fromt he kids section at these locations.

I have a picky granddaughter age 14! If she only likes something on the kids menu, I'll ask them to bring that only an adult serving. Yes, it will cost an adult credit but it's still what they want to eat! I also planned several character buffets. I figure they can go to the child's part of the buffet to get whatever. :sunny:

And don't worry about going to the children's part either - my mom is a picky eater (at 50+) and ate off the children's side at WDW buffets :rotfl:

We just got back from WDW and my DD13 can be picky as well. We ate at the Crystal palace buffet, and Cinderella's Castle. She enjoyed both places & ate well. :earboy2: Also a couple of counter services she was allowed to do like an a la carte' ie. larger portion of mac&cheese with chicken strips, etc. Just don't be afraid to ask. They seemed more than willing to be flexible and give us what we want. We were extremely pleased with the dining package.

We also have picky eaters.(almost 9yo) When we went to Maya Grill last month, there was nothing on either menu 2 of them wanted. Although it's not listed on the menu, the TS restaurants all have chicken fingers. That's what my kids got. I would ask for that even if you don't see it listed. They can usually whip something up the child will eat. :flower:

That is good to know!!! Thanks! I probably wouldn't of asked for something not on the menu!!

Thanks all for the help and ideas, buffets sound like the way to go. Also thanks for the tips about asking for something not on the menu I would have never done that. :Pinkbounc

We spent last week at DW and the one thing that sticks out in my mind most about our dining experiences is Alfredos. The service was terrible. The waiter was rude, they took away our appetizers literally 5 minutes after bringing them, and immediately plopped our entrees in front of us. I had to ask 3 times to get a refill of milk for my daughter. Each time the waiter told me refills are not included on the dining plan, and I agreed to pay cash. The food was good (way overpriced though) ,but I've never been so rushed out of a restaurant in my life. I've been treated better at fast food restaurants. THUMBS DOWN!!!

I traveled with one of the pickiest eaters that I have ever met - my father-in-law. The great thing about Disney is that they will allow adults to choose anything off of the kids menu, but they will make adult portions. We ate at Alfredos and there was nothing on the adult menu that he would eat. I asked if he could get the spaghetti and meatballs from the kids menu and they allowed him to do it. Also, Sci-Fi will allow you to get hamburgers for dinner because it is on the kids menu. They just make bigger portions.

Yes, can still eat of children's menu. Just say she would like a kids menu and they will probably let her eat off it. No guarantees though.

Stay away from Crystal Palace, if you want my advise. I have never been to a place that the majority of the people in the bathroom did'nt wash their hands. They would then go out and touch everything on the buffet line, and some of them I noticed did'nt even use the utensils to pick up their food. After seeing everything I saw I could not bring myself to eat. Some people are just NASTY, and the majority of these people must eat at Crystal Palace!!!!!! We ate many other places, but trust me this place is the worst for NASTY!
