Okay, so my mom and I are taking a mother/daughter trip in October 2010. We like to try new restaurants and stuff at the parks. Any suggestions? We can't decide on what to try because there are so many restaurants. We love all types of food and are open to try anything(except escargo and gross stuff like that). Thanks in advance for the help!!!!!:flower3::cheer2::woohoo::hippie::banana::cool1::thumbsup2

-Boma's (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
-Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom)
-Cape May (Beach Club Resort)
-Ohana's (Polynesian Resort)
-Kona Cafe (Polynesian Resort)
-Chef Mickey's (Contemporary Resort)

Those are some of my favorites!

Le Cellier was rather great. Especially enjoyed the campfire s'mores dessert :teeth:.
1900 Park Faire was a good character meal. Food was OK, but the characters made up for that.
Boma is another good one. Pretty awesome.
Sci-Fi Dine In is pretty immersive. Kinda difficult to eat with the family, because they put you in cars (but since there's two of you, i'd assume you'd get a normal table)
Mama Melroses, from what I remember, was pretty nice.

thanks y'all. most of those suggestions I've been to, but there were some my mom and I have been looking at trying. Thanks again :cool1:

in my experience, the italian food at disney is gross. (tonys, and mama m's make me heave)

boma is very very wonderful. my favorite restaurant, period.

1900 park faire is okay food, but good characters you probably won't see elsewhere, if thats important to you.

chefs de france is really nice (and they do have an escargot appetizer. lol)

ohanas for breakfast

whispering canyon cafe is awesome. ask for katsup.

Bomas(Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Cosmic Rays(Magic Kingdom)
The Flame Tree BBQ(Animal Kingdom)
LeCellier(Spelling?? Epcot)
Me and My Family Liked These

Coral Reef (EPCOT) - Order the blackened catfish!
Akershus (EPCOT) - Surprisingly, this character lunch was actually delicious. AND you get to see Ariel in her princess dress.
Boma (AKL) - Really good food, that's a little less traditional.
Chefs De France (EPCOT) - The Gratin De Macaroni is great!
50's PrimeTime (DHS) - The atmosphere is so fun. Our 'cousin' Eric was absolutely hilarious. I had the stuffed pepper, and it was so yummy.
Plaza Cafe (MK) - Unfortunately, MK is kind of lacking in the TS area. Plaza is decent, I had the veggie sandwich.

Tutto Italia is very, very good. It's a nicer Italian place in EPCOT.
Nine Dragons was also good. Just don't get a noodle sampler for yourself. That's huge. That's in China at EPCOT.
Rose and Crown's okay.
I <3 Le Cellier. I'm like, craving their pretzel bread right now.
Sci-Fi = <3
Kona Café is very good. Polynesian.

I enjoyed everywhere I've eaten at Disney:

50's PT Cafe
Sci-Fi Dine-in
Yak and Yeti (really good!)
Hollywood Derby (but we only did the Dine with an Imagineer menu)
Tony's
CRT
The Plaza
The Coral Reef
Chefs De France
ESPN Club (fam. tradition!)
California Grill - my favorie!

Le Cellier is the top of my list.
Teppan Edo is sooooo yummy. I love eating there. It's soooo much fun, too!
Les Chefs de France is great for lunch because they've got this great lunch meal deal (it's like...$12 for an app, entree, and dessert). And, I'll have you know, escargot? Not that bad. Not my favourite food in the world, but something I'd eat again (it's actually pretty good on pizza).
Spoodles always made me drool, but it's changing to something else which makes me sad.
1900 Park Fare is OK. The atmosphere is better than the food.
Grand Floridian Cafe was great the time we went there aside from the fact that our server was more interested in the big spenders next to us.

i've been afraid to waste a table credit on it, since all the other italian is really nasty. but is tutto italia really better than the other two?

I've been to... *(1-10 my rating)
-Tutto Italia (10)
-Chef Mickeys (8)
-Le Cellier (9)
-Hoop Dee Doo Review (8)
-50s Prime Time (7)
-Boma (8)
-Ohana (10)
-Crystal Palace (9)
-Teppan Edo (8)
-Les Chefs de France (9)
-Mama Melrose (7)
-1900 Park Fare (8)

There's more, but that's all I can remember

I suggest reading some TR's or some Dining Reviews

also, i wouldn't do crt, unless you just really wanna eat in the castle. the food isn't that great (at least it wasn't a few years ago? i'm not sure how much the menu changed)
if you want to eat with cindy, i'd eat at 1900 park faire, and if you want other princesses, maybe akershus in epcot.

YES. It was AMAZING there. Everyone says Tutto Italia is the best of the three Italian Restaraunts. It's uber fancy and it looks like a 5 star restaraunt, IMO. You should give it a try :]

O'hana is definitely my favourite for dinner! The food is SOOO good and you get soooo much of it!! The bread is amazzzzing and all the meats are SO good and mmm it is just SOOOO yummy!!

Coral Reef & Le Cellier are both also amazing in Epcot, if you like steak Le Cellier is definitely one that can't be missed--their filet mignon is perfect! and the chocolate moose for dessert is delicious!
I also really love Teppan Edo in Epcot GREAT teriyaki, and if you love Mexican food the San Angel Inn is amazing!!!
Lots to choose from in Epcot, just depends on your taste, all restaurants I've been to there are sooo good!!

Most of the buffets (1900 park fare, chef mickeys, crystal palace) are pretty generic, but the foods generally good and it's good if you're picky (like me!)

My family also always eats @ Wolfgang Puck express@ DTD...we've done breakfast & dinner there are both were AMAZZZZZING!! :cloud9:

We tried it last month as our last restaurant. It was OK, but not really for our family. Too posh... The food was good, but the menu was extremely shortened from what I saw before going to WDW. It took away the item I was going to eat, and only left me with one choice I would eat (not really into pasta, which most of the menu is). I did like the zabaglione gelato though. Best part of the meal (although dessert is almost always my favourite part :teeth: )

Shelby, Tutto Italia is excellent! Absolutely nothing like the Olive Garden look-alikes that are the other Disney italian restaurants.

Also, Cinderella is actually at Akershus more often than not. We saw Snow White, Ariel (in princess dress), Cinderella, Belle, and Aurora.

I've been afraid to go to 1900 Park Fare because I've heard the food is horrible, except maybe the strawberry soup.

OP, you also can't go wrong with 'Ohana or Kona Cafe, both located at the Polynesian.

i'm glad to hear that tutto is better. i was SO disappointed in mama m's. tony's was slightly better, but still way below my expectations for disney.

1900 park faire is okay food. its just like crystal palace. but the strawberry soup is definitely to die for. its always the first thing i get, and i usually go back for seconds or thirds. 1900 is also the only place where you get the stepsisters and step mother, i believe.
