Help with resort decision

Our family will be at Universal Dec. 28, 29, and 30th in 2005. Which resort would you choose - money is not an issue (at least this time around!). I'm waffling between the PBH and HRH. I have 2 kids (11 and 8) and all they ask is a fun pool. Since it will be at one of the busiest times of year, how will the crowds at the hotels be? Any input would be so much appreciated! Thanks!

i would go with the hrh. it is the closest to the parks, exciting, big, and LOUD. the portifino is very upscale and expensive. the hard rock has a great pool area, and the pool has a special feature that lets you hear the music underwater. the rooms are nice and its good for kids that are their age. have fun!

i agree! the HRH would be best for your 11 and 8 year old.

They can always pool hop. We stayed this summer at PBH with our 7 year old and 4 year old. We LOVED it there. We walked around HRH and just weren't as into the theming there. The pool at HRH was nice but seemed much more crowded than the pools at PBH. Look at the pictures and pick whichever you think is more interesting.
