Help with renting points!!

Help! I'm new to the whole DVC renting process, how can I be sure I'm renting from an actual member and prevent any problems!! I'd appreciate any advice on renting points. Thanks!!!

I would ask for references. Get a phone number talk with them, do they know what they are talking about? Do they have a contract or are they shooting from the hip? Make sure you get a confirmation with your name on it on DVC letter head.
