Help with Redweek.com??

Dh and I are going to wdw in the spring for 5 nights. The 3/7 deal does not work and I am looking at alternatives. I think wdw will have room only discounts as well but, ya never know. So I am exploring options....

I have never rented a timeshare before. I saw recently that someone mentioned the site redweek.com. I saw a unit at animal kingdom Jamba house that may work but I am a little nervous. Has anyone used this site before? What can you tell me about it. What are some things I should be on the look out for? I am really not wanting to be scammed.

I just rented from redweek.com for Bonnet Creek next summer. Right now everything seems legite. She has done everything she said she was going to do.

Since you are renting from individual owners, each experience may vary. Make sure to get a signed contract and protect yourself as best you can. You might even offer to pay the extra fees to use the escrow service Redweek uses.

I've rented my timeshares a few times and it takes trust on both sides. I take personal checks and trust them to be good. My renters trust me to provide the units I've contracted to provide. My prices are low enough to make it worth it for them, I guess.

be sure who you are renting from takes pay-pal, this way if anything happens, you always have them to stand up for you as well as your credit card company. I would not pay extra fees to redweek when that service can be done basically thru pay-pal free of charge. If the owner doesn't accept pay-pal, move onto another owner.

Since all of the units are sold or rented by individuals, the experience of one person would have little to do with your experience unless you dealt with the very same individual. Redweek is just a listing service. The transaction is with an individual.
