Hi all, I'm really hoping that somebody on here can please help:worship::rotfl2: I've been addicted to this board and on it more than I should be:rotfl2: collecting ideas for our up and coming trip to Disneyland Paris this Easter. I'm doing t- shirts, tags, bags and now attempting an autograph book. I've used some of your lovely designs and am following the instructions, have set the top and bottom margins to 1", set the picture sizes to 6"x4", have two on an A4 sheet (the bottom pic being inverted), have just now come to print and they are not printing equally ie the the top margin has come out at 0.8" but the bottom a lot bigger at 1.2" so when I go to cut the pages won't be the same? Is there a certain amount of space I should leave between the two pics on the page?

I hope I have explained myself clearly, I'm so disappointed and so desperate to correct it but don't know how - and I really hope I'm not the only one that has these sort of problems.

Thanks in advance to any knight / princess in shining armour :lovestruc:rotfl2:

p.s I promise to show pics of my finished 'makes' - the pile is growing by the day!

Jumping in to answer your question, but there are others far more talented than me who probably give you a better response. I too had trouble when printing two to a page getting them to be equal. Therefore, here are my suggestions:

1. Print one per page and then I cut them all equally.
2. Set margins smaller
3. Cut all your pages to match the smaller of the two

I do go to the local office store and use their equipment to cut. Makes a nice clean cut and they use a grid so I can line them up. Also, I do recycle my paper.

Hope this helps and good luck! Look forward to seeing your finish projects!

Just want to say Good Luck! I am going to be printing off autograph pages very soon for a child that will be going on a MAW trip to Disney, so I am anxious to see how your autograph book comes out and how you ended up printing the pages :goodvibes

I think I know what you mean as I had the same problem. I will try and explain how I overcame this with an Epcot passport that I have printed - but not yet bound.

I copied a "picture" into MS Word. Using Picture Tools, in the Size panel, I unchecked "Lock aspect ratio" and "Relative to original picture size and then I set the size of the picture to what I wanted. Finally, in the "Arrange" panel, I selected "Position" and clicked on the top centre (With Text Wrapping).

Then I printed the one picture.

For the second one, I repeated the above steps but inserted the A4 page so that the bottom of the first job became the top of the next job.

I made sure that the paper guides were reset every time I put the paper in and that the paper fit snugly between the guides.

By doing this I have all the pictures exactly the same size with exactly the same left and right margins. I even managed to print back to back with very little or no error.

All that remains to be done is for me to cut the pages exactly the same size, which I am anticipating will not be easy.

I hope this has been of help.

PS. I first tried using "Tables" in Word without success.

Thanks all for your help.

Sue's Mum - thanks for that, I was so annoyed with myself last night :rotfl2: - hate for things to beat me, I figured out to uncheck those two boxes and basically had a play about with the sizing and printed most of them out now, they're not perfect but I 'think' they will be ok once cut (:rolleyes1). I do think that you're right though that the only way to get them absolutely perfect is to print them one at a time (which was going to be my last resort).
I've really enjoyed doing them but have been thinking to myself maybe next time I will just pay the 6 Euros and buy one :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Are you going to spiral bind yours? - I see you're in the UK too and just wondering where you're getting this done if you are? I have been and bought some book rings today and think I am going to use these instead. Please post pics of yours when finished, would be great to see.

I have wondered about book rings too but then discounted them because I think they would not sit flat enough in a hand/bum bag. Staples do binding and I think I will take a trip there. Today I took my Epcot passport (book style) to a local stationers to be bound (comb binding). The left edge had a 2cm margin for the binding whilst the other three edges just had a 0.5cm edging. The person who was doing the binding cut the holes in the top!!! What a waste of cardstock, printer ink and time. I was not best pleased.

I came home and reprinted them and it only took between 30 and 45 mins. I will not be going there again.

Will post pics when finished.
