Hi folks, since we are coming up on our 60 day window to begin booking dining and other add-ons for this trip, I thought I'd solicit some advice. Our travel dates are 4/2-4/6. Me, wife, 14 year old daughter. This is not meant to be a "do everything at Disney list," instead I just thought I'd hang some bones on each day, to give us some structure, but also freedom to wander too. We have park hoppers for each day, so can move around if we want.
  • Day 1: Saturday is our arrival day. I was thinking about doing LL for Rise/Resistance and Minny's Railway if I can get them before the flight leaves at 8:30. We're in FLA by 11, and I'm guessing 1 pm for the park, after swinging by the hotel (Boardwalk Inn) to check in. I figured we'd get lunch in the park (Hollywood Studios day 1). I was looking at booking Oga's Cantina and Flying Fish on arrival day for restaurants, but no real thoughts otherwise. Purchase Genie+ for the next day (Sunday).
  • Day 2: Start in Hollywood Studios in the morning. Catch up on things we missed. Smugglers Run, make a reservation to build sabers on this day. Muppet Vision, maybe. If we get bored, hop in the afternoon to EPCOT, since its close to the hotel. Food ideas to come. Disney Springs for dinner? Purchase Genie+ for the next day (Monday).
  • Day 3: Magic Kingdom day. Peter Pan's Flight, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates.
  • Day 4: Epcot! Mainly interested in Ratatouille, Frozen and Spaceship.
Like I said, I know this is just bare bones, but trying to lay down an outline of what works. Also since this is our first time using Genie and LL's, I want to make sure I'm using them appropriately. Thanks!

Sounds good. I know it’s a little late as your day is already here but it looks like you’re hitting all the main points. I might suggest to add Soarin or test track to your Epcot day. On day 2 if you hop to Epcot consider either an Epcot restaurant or something at the Boardwalk area. You can check your app to see what’s available to either book or walk in day of and get an idea as to the wait time. Also consider looking for reservations the day before as people drop them to avoid the 10.00 pp fee
ETA: we also discussed it and decided to skip the genie+. Anything we consider a “must do” is a paid attraction anyway so we will just buy those if available. We don’t want to be tied to the phone looking for the next available fast pass. Just not our touring style. Our main strategy is to get to the park early, take advantage of the early morning hours and the 2 late night park extra hours and just enjoy our surroundings. We like to take a mid day break but if you hop that also gives you down time away from the park. If staying on-site at a deluxe I believe the extra hours Epcot day is Monday and MK is Tuesday. Definitely take advantage of those.

We’ll be there that same week! Day 3, you might want to hop back to Epcot for the Deluxe Extra Evening hours. Great time to ride Remy and the other big ticket rides, especially the last hour.

We are arriving the week before and hope to be out of Disney by the 3rd. We will still be in Orlando but doing other parks.

Also don’t worry too much about dining. Lots is available the next day. I just did a quick search for tomorrow with a party of 3 and there was Be our Guest, chef Mickeys, Ogas, Sci Fi, coral reef, Storybook, etc. I have better luck searching for an actual time (my favorite search time is 6 pm) than the generic “dinner”

One thing I would recommend is plan to try to get RotR on day two, especially if you've never been on the ride. After riding it the first time, you may find you want to do it again. There is so much to take in on that ride. I feel like I see/experience something new each time I ride it. I actually didn't really care for it the first time I rode it, but I found I liked it more each time I rode it.
