Okay, Indepence Air just announced it will be traveling Knoxville to Orlando...YIPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE.

I booked round trip tickets for Halloween weekend for me, DH and DD7 to go to MNSSHP!

I have two days left on an old PHP, so DH and I are covered for tickets. Thinking about an AP for DD7 so that we could maybe book an AP rate at the WL or Poly or something close to MK. Anyone know what kind of AP rates to expect in October? Should I just book the POP and forget about it? Should I just buy a hopper for DD7 instead of an AP?

Oh goodness the decisions! Plus, my Sister starts working at the MK in a week or so! I am bout to bust! Help!

Where to stay, what are the rates? Will my sister get a discount rate at the hotels? Can she get DD7 in without me buying an AP this time? I would rather buy all of us APs together in December, as with the low fares, we are going to go see the Christmas Decorations in December, TOO!!

Okay, I am a LITTLE bit excited about $39 fares to Orlando!!

wow you are excited! :) so many questions i'll try to wade in with a few answers and hope i hit the mark on something LOL

Okay, as far as benefits your sister will get, she should check with Casting on that. I think that WDW employees get some passes per year that they can give away (they did when i worked for the company but that was centuries ago lol) i don't know if she'll be able to just get your daughter right in, esp. as a new CM. You should likely plan on buying her a pass.

When are you traveling, Oct, right? okay, first you should check and see if you fall during regular season, value season, or prime season, then you have to decide which level of resort to stay at.

I would advise against buying an AP JUST to get room discounts. They are not guaranteed, and sometimes not offered. Last year we all had AP's in my family anticipating discounts for September that never came because of the buy 4 get 3 deal. So you have to watch these boards and keep your eyes open for codes that come out as your trip gets closer.

I would start by booking something, to be sure you can stay on property. book something that you can afford to stay in even if no discounts come out, then it won't be such a worry. or you can use a travel agent but i prefer doing this stuff myself :)

anyway, hope that helps a little, keep those questions coming!

Thanks! I think you are right! I think I will book the POP and then just see what happens with codes. My sister may even be able to come spend the night with us and get us a FL resident rate if she isn't working and all of that. I would love to stay at WL again, because it would be so easy back and forth to MK.

I will wait and buy all of our APs together for the Christmas trip.

My sister will be able to get in when we go and not have to pay, right? I was going to have to pay her way in to visit with us while we were there in September! I guess I will save a little $$ just from that!

Of course, that was my fault, as I told her if she wanted to see her niece she would have to see us at WDW because we weren't "wasting" a whole day at her apartment!!!
