I need your help, suggestions, opinions---going to Disney august 12-19 (saturday to saturday)We will not be going into the parks the first day (ADR at Chef Mickey's) since we will not get in until after 4:00. We are getting a 5 day hopper and doing one day at Sea World. Now, where to go on what days-Would love to start in MK--is that a bad day to start there(Sunday). I'm trying to figure things out quickly as this trip was supposed to be in November and got changed to August due to EXPENSIVE flights for when were planning on being there--Thanksgiving--and I would like to make ADR's asap--thanks in advance, ilisa

Since you're going to be going to WDW during a very crowded time of year, I would suggest investing $19 or so in a Tour Guide Mike subscription. He'll give you the best parks to go to based on crowds, and then you can plan your ADR's around that. The Unofficial Guide has crowd levels, but TGM is much more detailed...definately worth the $$.

You can find loads of WDW info on allearsnet.com, mousesaver.com and the DIS home site of wdwinfo.com.

I went two years ago during that same week (pretty much). We were delayed slightly by Hurricane Charley and arrived on the 14th. Actually, the parks weren't too bad. We used fast pass when we could, but the lines were okay compared to June or July. My suggestion is to bring ponchos because we did experience alot of rain. It would last for a couple of hours at times, but the ponchos helped a lot! We did go to MK on our last Sun. and it was great. We saw every Princess that day and the lines were not bad at all first thing in the morning. Get there early and you will be fine! We had breakfast at the Main ST. bakery and got our day started right away.
