We really wanted to plan a 12 night stay again in November for this year, but DH can't get the time off.

DH can get 1 week off though, so I'm thinking maybe we can take advantage of the free dining (visa) promo.

We're thinking of doing 7 nights - checking in September 27th.

We'd also be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary if we were to go during this time. :lovestruc

We're thinking of doing the Poly, Contemporary or Bay Lake Tower. We'd like to stay off-site again (more room, privacy, laundry, etc.) but with only a week to "play with" we thought it might be better to do on-site again.

Thoughts, suggestions?

Hi there!

We went for six nights last year and it was busy! I think the key is to be super organized and know park schedules before you go so that you can get the most out of your days there. You are at an advantage as having been there you know your way around and know the short cuts to all the parks. In my opinion one week is better than no weeks so go and enjoy!

P.S. How were you able to get a disney visa as I thought as Canadians we were not entitled to one? :confused3 Has this changed? Please don't think I am being nosy!LOL!

My bad, I thought it was for all visa card holders - not just "disney" visa. Either way, we can always take advantage of the CAA free dining too - or sure enough they'll probably open it to the general public. Now we just have to wait and see... :rolleyes1

We went for our second trip this past September. During the week it was okay but the weekend was quite busy. We took our two boys to the Not So Scary Halloween party and they had a blast! So definitely look to see if they do it again. The Halloween parade was awesome and they came home with so much candy and chocolate. We all had a blast!

Yeah we did that in 2007, and agree that it was amazing. We liked it even better than the Christmas Party/Parade last year.

We just need to decide whether we'll stay on-site or off... pros and cons to both!

O.K. I'm really torn here... :confused3

Option #1
  1. September 27th - October 4th (7 nights).
  2. We would be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary on October 1st.
  3. Stay at the Poly Resort, standard garden view room. I have always wanted to stay at the Poly.
  4. Free Dining which is great because we could enjoy more Disney dining.
  5. Weather is hot and humid.

Option #2
  1. November 8th - 15th (7 nights).
  2. Stay at Windsor Palms, 4 bedroom home with private pool. We love vacation homes.
  3. Kids love the pool + it's a salt water pool (DD has allergies to chlorine).
  4. Cooler more comfortable weather.
  5. Would probably spend a day at Sea World (haven't done this yet).
  6. Christmas decorations up, decorated castle.
  7. Cheaper, probably by $1K

What to do, oh what to do? :confused3

I would go for option #1.
I just LOVE :lovestruc POLY. We have been 3 times, unfortunately this year we decided to try a different resort but POLY is amazing! Also you get free dining and you get to celebrate your anniversary at the most magical place, thats amazing. We are also celebrating our 12th anniversay this year (congrats). You can also do MNSSHP, so that is a bonus!

How is the Christmas Party? We have started to make it an annual tradition to go to Disney on Ice on Christmas Day, but I think I would like to take the kids for the Christmas Party/Parade. How does it compare to MNSSHP and the Pirate and Princess Party (we've been to each of those)?
