Help with Planning Mickey's Halloween Party In October

I would suggest using your ticket to enter at 4 then eating when you get in the park. If you want to see rare characters get in line for the 7 dwarfs (usually by Splash) real early. That line is always the longest. If you are there for the characters, fireworks, parade, dance parties and candy don't do any rides. You can always go back and do the rides. Hallowishes are a definite must do. If you decide to wear costumes you can pack them in a bag and change closer to the party time (I have seen a lot of people do this). If there are any allergies you can notify the cast members handing out candy and they will give you special candy-I know this works with nut allergies.

It is a great party and you will have so much fun.

The Seven Dwarfs moved to the walls in New Fantasyland last year. Party maps will be posted on Disney's website prior to the first party and discussed here extensively so you'll know where all the characters are meeting. We have always had luck meeting The Dwarfs during the first parade (less than 30 minutes wait two years in a row!). People tend to line up for them super early, but I don't like waiting two hours to meet any character, even if most of it is during non-party time. We catch the second parade instead.

We like to eat at the Contempo Cafe (a counter service in the Contemporary) prior to the party. The MK counter service places tend to be very busy because many people do what you're planning on doing. You can walk over to the MK or even take the monorail when you're finished. Columbia Harbor House almost always closes at 4:00 on party nights, so it's not really a viable dinner option.

The Villians Show is really the highlight of the party for us. The Villains come down off the stage and do a quick "mix and mingle" after each show, which offers an opportunity to get a quick picture with rare characters. Jack Sparrow is also available for a meet & greet in Adventureland during parties.

The Halloween and Christmas parties also offer one of the few opportunities to meet some Princes with their respective Princesses. During the party, you can meet Flynn Rider with Rapunzel, the Snow Prince with Snow White, Prince Phillip with Aurora, and Prince Charming with Cinderella. We tend to hit the candy trails in between character meet & greets...the whole thing is a lot of fun and it's definitely worth the price of admission!
