Help with planning for fun Disney events!

I have read lots of mentions about Tea with Wendy, pirate night, caribbean night, character breakfasts....What should I know about these? Do I need to sign up for anything when I board? Necessary wardrobes needed(okay not necessary but fun!)? Any tips you can give me?
Also, I have seen a lot of families (in pictures) in cute matching tropical outfits....Did you purchase them anywhere specific? They looked great!

Tea With Wendy - get your ticket at the guest services desk
Pirate Night/Caribbean Night - is the night before St Thomas on the Eastern
Character Breakfast - your dining room servers will advise you when your scheduled character breakfast will be.

so the only one you really need to think about is just the ticket for Tea With Wendy Darling.

On pirate night, we just wore our caribbean/hawaiian clothing.
