Can anyone tell me where to find pricing and other information about this? Our first trip is in September and I just heard about this.

Everything you're looking for is at disneyphotopass.com.

Here's the nutshell version: you can either pre-pay for the photopass CD (all your photos) at a discount price, or wait until you see how many photos you have to order it. If you pre-order, I think it's satisfaction guaranteed. When you first arrive at the park, find a photopass photographer to take your photo. They will give you a photopass card. Hand this to every photographer at each park, each time you want a photo taken. Then, smile and have fun!

When you get back from your trip, log onto the website, enter your photopass number and view, edit, order your photos. You have a limited time to order your photos (60 days, I think) or they will magically disappear. When you're finished editting, you can either choose to buy per photo, or (best deal) get every photo on a CD (you can print, edit, whatever -- you own the copyright to each photo).

Check it out! :thumbsup2 We loved it! We went from 100 photos to over 250 photopass photos with the editing.

Does anyone know the cost? And when do you pay for it in advance? At the park or prior to your trip?

You have to claim you photos on the website within 30 days from the day the first picture is taken or they are gone. BTDT Then you have 30 days, after you claim them on the website, to enhance your photos with signatures and borders etc. If you pre buy your CD then it is
$99.99. If you buy it at the park or after you get home then it is $125. If you have your photos burned on a CD at the park then you can't enhance them. I had one of the photopass photographers tell me to wait until I got home to look at them. Just don't wait too long. I did and I didn't get any pictures from our last trip.

prepaid Photopass cd is $99, that includes shipping. We thought the cost for prints through Photopass was high, but since you get the editing feature, and get all pics on a cd that you can print yourself at home or send to a more reasonably priced photo service we thought it was worth it (and, many of the pictures were way better than we would have been able to take ourselves, especially the ones taken when the light was too dim or too bright...the photopass photogs are using pro cameras with the right lenses & shutter speeds for the varying light so all their pics turned out for us.)

We used the service for the first time May 2008...the editing feature is really great. Besides being able to add Park logos to photos, you can add a "Disney character" date (2008 with Mickey & friends on the numbers) as well as fancy themed frames. The choices for frames & add-ins vary with where each pic was originally taken...for example, photos taken at Epcot during the Flower & Garden festival: you have the option of putting "flower power" frames on your photos. You can also zoom photos for more close-ups, you can crop & re-size, you can also rotate. We turned about 65 photos into 130 with a lot of creative cropping, zooming & trying out different frames & add-ins. The cd is on the way to us now.

My only suggestion...make sure you take advantage of the photopass opportunities every time. They'll usually take several shots at each spot, too, to make sure you end up with one where everyone has their eyes open! Basically, anywhere in the parks you'd think "this is a great spot for a picture" you'll spot the photopass photographers there (look for people with shorts, vests & lots of camera equip hanging around their necks!) In really popular places, like in front of the castle there are usually several photogs so you rarely have to wait long to get pics.

I heard that if you buy the pre-paid photopass ofr 99.99 that you can also upload your own photos to the CD/website. Is this correct?

Yes.. you can upload your own photos. Just make sure to read the Terms and Conditions first.. we had a few of them 'deleted' by photopass staff. <cough> Luckily, we had the photos on our computer, so we didn't lose them completely.

I recently prepurchased the Photopass CD. The website stitchkingdom will answer just about any question you may have.
